How long is your content relevant?

If you spend a LOT of time creating content for different social media platforms, this is definitely something you should keep in mind! :)

Ever get stuck thinking about what to post on Pinterest?

Well let me help you with that! One of the great things about Pinterest is you CAN TURN ANYTHING INTO CONTENT.

Here are some ideas that you can use for your next pins. 😉

1. Blog Posts: If you have a blog, Pinterest is a great way of driving traffic to it! When you write your blog post, make sure to create a graphic for it (Canva works great!).

TIP: Create 1000px X 1500px image for your post. Canva has a lot of templates you can modify to fit your style or you can have templates made for you.

2. Podcast episodes: You can either create a graphic and link to your podcast episode OR transcribe your podcast into a blog post and create a graphic for it. (or both!)

3. Instagram Posts: Resize your posts and share them on Pinterest.

TIP: With Canva Pro, you can resize posts with one click! You may need to readjust the design a little bit though. 😊

4. Product/Lifestyle Photographs: For product-based businesses, use your product photos as your pins. Not all pins need to have a fancy design, sometimes simpler IS better.

TIP: Shoot vertically to get the best size for posting on Pinterest.

5. YouTube videos: What?! Yes! You can create a pin with a short preview of your video or you can create a static pin with a link to the video.

5 TOXIC Beliefs that Hinder Your Success

I know you (yes, YOU!) dream of succeeding in your business. You've done everything you can, yet you're still in the same place. How are others getting more clients? What's standing in the way of your success?

Let's start by changing these 5 common (but toxic) beliefs:

❌ "It's not the right time."
You keep putting off your plans to reach your goals because you're not sure if it is the right time. Well, guess what? THE RIGHT TIME IS RIGHT NOW. It doesn't matter if you end up making a mistake, LEARN from it and get back up - STRONGER and BETTER!

❌ "I'm not good enough."
YOU are the first person who needs to believe in YOURSELF. Stop comparing yourself to others and focus on YOUR STRENGTHS and how you can use them to help others.

❌ "I'm not an expert."
You don't need to be "really good" at something to be able to do it. Everyone, even the "experts" you follow now, starts at the beginning. There are countless failures, mistakes, lots of hard work, and practice behind these experts that you look up to now.

❌ "I will surely fail."
Unless you can see the future, there is no way to be so sure that you will fail. If there is a 50% chance that you will fail, that means there is also a 50% chance that you will succeed!

❌ "I will start once I have more..."
More time? More knowledge? More money? How will you come by more of any of these if you don't take action now?

As a VA and small biz owner, I know firsthand how important it is to be productive throughout the day.

But sometimes, our own habits can get in the way of achieving our goals. If you're someone who finds themselves working for 20 minutes and then taking a 4 hour break (like me on some days!), don't worry - you're not alone!

Here are some quick tips to help you stay productive during the day:

1. Use a Timer - Set a timer for a specific amount of time to work on a task. When the timer goes off, take a short break. This can help you stay focused and avoid getting sidetracked. If you've heard of the Pomodoro Method, that's a good one to try out.

Are you a blogger? Do you have a TPT or Etsy store? Do you sell physical or digital products online?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, then YES, you should have a Pinterest BUSINESS account. 📌

According to Pinterest's terms of service, all businesses who are using Pinterest should have a business account.

Does that mean I need to switch from a personal account to a business account? YES! 🙌

You will need a business account if you are a TPT or Etsy store owner, a blogger, or an e-commerce store owner who is planning to use Pinterest to market your business.

So unless you are a casual pinner and don’t really plan on using Pinterest to promote or drive traffic to your website, you should switch to a Business Account.

If you want to increase brand awareness, drive traffic to your website, grow your email list, or attract people to avail of your services - having a Pinterest business account is the *best* choice for you. 😉

Pinterest is a great way to drive traffic to your website - whether it’s a blog, TPT store or even your YouTube channel or podcast!

Here are some reasons why your business should be on Pinterest:

Pinterest pins have a longer lifespan compared to your usual social media platforms. Pins can go viral even after 6 months from being posted!
Speaking of social media, Pinterest is NOT a social media platform but a VISUAL SEARCH ENGINE (think Google not Facebook). You don’t need to spend hours engaging everyday just to attract your audience to your account.
Pinners (Pinterest users) are planners - they are there to find ideas, get inspired, and plan a purchase. More than half of Pinterest users are there specifically for products/services (that you might be offering!)

Yes, you read that right.

Pinterest users are there to find ideas, get inspired, and make plans for the future. They are NOT there to connect with family and friends to talk about who just got married or who recently had a baby. 😬

Pinterest users go to the site with the intention of discovering new things. Think of Pinterest as something like Google Image search - you type what you are looking for and get loads of images and/or short videos as results.

Whether it's a new printable activity for their child, worksheets for their classroom, or even just teacher tips on how to keep sane, Pinterest users will likely find something that will interest them.

If you want your content to be seen on Pinterest, you should have:
1. An optimized profile (bio, photos, boards)
2. Eye-catching Pin designs
3. Optimized Pin titles and descriptions
4. Working links (where your pins lead to!)
5. A Pinning strategy (no, you don't just post pins whenever you want to 😄)

If you're an over-thinker like me, you probably have a lot of things going on in your head - new ideas for blog content, a new video topic, a course you want to offer, or a new project you want to make.

But sometimes even just thinking about it leads to panic, because there seems to be so many things to do!⁣

Thankfully, I found a trick to help with that. Here's how:⁣
⁣
1. Write it out. Use your journal or planner to jot down your goals and action steps. Be as detailed as possible. ⁣
⁣
2. Make a plan. Take a look at your action steps. Which ones do you need to first, second, etc. ⁣
⁣
3. Set a deadline. Estimate how long it will take to complete each step. Plot them out and mark them in your calendar.⁣
⁣
4. Get to work! Get your a$$ off the ground and take action!⁣
⁣
5. Evaluate. If something seems to be going wrong, take a step back and see how it can be fixed. You might need to make some changes if you're not getting the results you're expecting. (This is totally normal!)⁣
⁣
Less thinking. Less talking. More doing.⁣

Simple really, if you're taking even the smallest steps to reach your goal RIGHT NOW, then you are on your way to achieving it.

**If after doing this you still feel like there are SO MANY THINGS to do, that's a sign that you need someone to help you. Get all your ducks in row and focus on doing the tasks you actually enjoy while having a trusted VA do the rest for you. 😉

When I started working from home, I promised myself I wouldn't work on weekends.

The first year, I ended up doing A LOT of work even on weekends because of time zone differences and required weekly hours.

It took me a while to get used to the time differences. I would sometimes get so sleepy at night that I just had to pause and get some shut eye. The remaining tasks got carried over to the next morning, which would sometimes fall on a weekend.
⁣
I would have no choice but to work on Saturday mornings. I could have chosen to put them off until Monday morning, BUT I do not like leaving unfinished work.

Fast forward to the present, I make it a point to finish everything by Friday afternoon so I can truly get some rest over the weekends.

My typical weekend would be spent crocheting while watching a movie or a KDrama series on Netflix or Disney+ 😁

My first job out of college was teaching. I was a teacher for almost 10 years (6 years in elementary school, 4 years in a one-on-one reading clinic). I handled kids from ages 3-18 years old, and taught them English (Reading and Language/Grammar) and Filipino (which I'm really bad at, despite being from the Philippines!). I became a teacher because I wanted to "make a difference" in the lives of the children that I taught. The last 5 years, my advocacy was to help instill a love for reading in the kids that I handled (because they all found reading to be a chore, a really boring one at that!).⁣
⁣
When I decided to quit teaching and start working as a VA, one of the questions I asked myself was "what difference am I making now?" At first, I didn't have an answer to that. But now, after almost 1 year, I think I know what difference I make. ⁣
⁣
I help my clients focus on growing their businesses. The time that they would have been spending doing the tasks they gave me, is now being spent on building up their services and their client-base, and focusing on the services for their current clients. I make a difference in their lives by giving them more time. In turn, they make a difference in their client's lives by providing their services which help their client's businesses. ⁣
⁣
In a way, making a difference is like showing kindness. You make an impact on someone's life, it provides value to them, they pass it on to someone else. No matter what kind of work you do, there is always a way in which you have an impact or you make a difference in someone's life. 😊⁣

February is also known as the month of love. What better way to celebrate it than to show YOURSELF some love. 😉⁣

This is my favorite time of the year, cool weather even if it's sunny outside. These last few nights have been perfect for staying in bed 🛌- snuggled under a comforter with a mug of hot cocoa ☕️or a cup of chamomile tea 🍵, some lavender oil in the diffuser, and a good movie or tv series on Netflix 💻. However, my "bionic" leg 🦵🏻is starting to feel a little pain, right about where the screws are, but it's nothing a hot pack can't handle. 🔥⁣

Are you looking ideas for spending some "me" time? Here are 3 things you can do to show yourself some love: 💕⁣

1. Invest in yourself.⁣
Spend 15-30 minutes in the morning or evening with reading, listening to or watching material that motivates/inspires you, helps you understand yourself better, or helps you live a better life. ⁣

If possible, try and do one small action on what you have learned.⁣
⁣
2. Take just 2 minutes in the morning or evening to appreciate yourself.⁣
⁣
Sit down with a journal on your smart phone, computer or in paper form. Ask yourself:⁣

What are 3 things I can appreciate about myself?⁣
⁣
3. Take a small step towards something positive.⁣
⁣
If your day feels like it's not going too well, find a small step to take towards something positive to help breathe new hope and optimism into your day. ⁣
⁣
How? Setup a coffee date (even if it's just a virtual one!) with a friend, research a trip you would like to take, or look at how you can grow in your career to get new and exciting stuff to do.⁣
