PALARONG PAMBANSA | Gymnastics genes definitely run in the blood of Karl Eldrew Yulo as the country's rising star from the National Capital Region (NCR) swept all his six events in the 2023 Palarong Pambansa secondary boys men’s artistic gymnastics event.

The younger brother of Olympian and World Champion Caloy Yulo made a perfect way to end his Palaro journey after four years as he is one of the most bemedalled athletes in the annual grassroots sportsfest.

Karl Eldrew tallied 45.7 points, which came from the individual apparatus events. He scored 13.95 points in vault, 13.5 in floor exercise, 9.0 in horizontal bar, and 9.25 in pommel horse, and topped the individual all-around.

Marlboro Hills, also referred to as "Marlboro Country," is a popular tourist destination in Sagada known for its breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and rice terraces. The name "Marlboro Hills" is said to have originated from the area's resemblance to the Marlboro cigarette advertisements.

We started out at 4:30 in the morning. Took a jeepney from Banga-an to Sagada. We started our trek up the mountain at 5 am, armed with walking sticks and flashlights. It was quite an experience and the breathtaking views are definitely worth it!

Big thanks to our tour guide Grael Bomowey of the FB group called Tour Sagada, it was a wonderful experience!
