I want us to get together at the end of this month on the 28th. It’s going to be super chill so we can get to know each other. We can discuss the first couple of chapters then.

Total heads up, I’ve never hosted a book club before or even been a part of one so any tips will be appreciated. I want to do something super low key, not rushing so we can nourish our nervous systems instead of sending it into hyper vigilance.

Our first book: The Emotionally Absent Mother by Jasmin Lee Cori. Since I started this page 2 weeks ago we will be discussing the first two chapters. We will be getting to know each other as well during our 1 hour meeting. It’s going to be super chill so no need to rush through the book. This book is a triggering book so take your time to read it. Next month we can dive into wrapping it up. My goal is to read one book a month. During our meeting I also want to discuss and vote for our next book for April.
