Happiness is tutus, giggles and fun. My youngest kiddo turned 6 over the weekend. She was at her dads. He and I coordinated me to pick her up and take her to lunch. It’s been a long road of co-parenting to get to this point.

My love for my children is far bigger than my ego. Their happiness and health is my goal. Being able to extend an olive branch with your child’s happiness in mind will always be a win.

I don’t think anyone should expect reciprocation but that’s not what initial steps of co-parenting is about. Those steps, moments, days will be hard but they pay off. The process is not linear, there is no fully predictable path for any of this. Though I will say, if the children’s happiness is the goal, you can’t ever lose.

The other parent is an ex for a reason. It’s about the kid, not the ex.

Always late... almost. Paradigm change... arrive early and knock out the to-do list. Little changes everyday make a big difference for sure! Gotta love a quote that actually works when it’s applied. I once heard the optimists are always late because they think they can get always squeeze one more thing in before they have to go. That absolutely applies to me.

Mask face is the real deal... ugh! What, am I 14? A zit on my nose!? It’s bad enough I put some dog treats in my purse so my masks smell like the good aisle of a pet shop. Thankfully the mask hides this wanna be volcano.

Make yourself a priority. Your happiness is your job, not anyone else’s. But just because a person is happy doesn’t mean they are satisfied.

If you treated yourself as well as you treated other, imagine how happy you would be! And if not, maybe you should treat others differently 😜💖

Jeep hair, don’t care.

Doing something for myself. No one to answer to, no one to “clear” my discussions with is wildly freeing. A hobby to enjoy with my kids. Having close friends to bounce decisions off of and open my eyes to whole new ideas.

Driving around with the wind in my hair and a full smile on my face. I remember hearing some quote about running towards things that bring you joy.

The trauma and grief that life can throw at you can be maddening... in my experience, making an effort to focus on joy and happiness will repay you ten fold.

I was also told today by my real estate coach that “when you level up, the Devil will show up too.” Man, that had me thinking. Hope it does for you too.

Teaming up with friends to give our kids great memories. When I was first separated, I truly worried about being able to give my kids precious memories. I thought all our traditions were lost. It was a chance for me to reset and make my own traditions, I’m so glad I did. My friends, my tribe, my circle of trust stepped up like I never expected.
