URHOBO YOUTH ASSOCIATION RECOGNIZES AND COMMENDS PROF. ANDY .O. EGWUNYENGA, VICE-CHANCELLOR, DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY, ABRAKA.

The executive Committee of Urhobo Youths Association paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor, where they applauded the workaholic Vice Chancellor for his services to the University Community inwhich they have experienced a tremendous change in infrastructure, academics and welfare of the staff, students and the entire public.

In line with the above, the aforementioned Association presented to the Vice Chancellor an Award of excellence in recognition of his service to the University Community, Urhobos and the Educational System.

The Vice Chancellor accepted the award good fate and in his words " I am humbled and I pledge my renewed commitment to transforming Delta State University Abraka to become Nigeria's best State University".

DELSU VC REWARDS UNIVERSITY ATHLETES WITH CASH GIFT AND MEDALS

The Pragmatic Vice Chancellor Delta State University Abraka, Prof Andy Egwunyenga received the University contingent to the Nigeria Medical Students Association(NIMSA) and National Universities Games Association(NUGA) Games who were the best among State Universities that participated in the Sports Fiesta.

High point of the occasion was the presentation of Medals and Cash Awards to them by the Vice Chancellor.

This is to inform all the candidates that applied for the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, 2022/2023 post UTME and also participated in the screening exercise that they can now check their status on the Official Website.

ALTERNATIVELY,
You can also access your DELSU admission status on the JAMB admission status checking portal by following the procedure outlined below:

• Go to the JAMB E-facility portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.
• Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
• Scroll down, then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
• Select your Exam year and Enter your registration number in the required columns.
• Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status’ to access your DELSU admission status.

Candidates successfully admitted into the Delta State University (DELSU) first-degree programmes are advised to:

• Login to their JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and ACCEPT or REJECT their admission.
• Print their JAMB admission letter after accepting the admission.
• Print their original JAMB result slip (this comes with passport photography affixed to it).
• Apply for a change of course on the JAMB Portal in case they are offered courses different from the ones they initially applied for.

Congratulations to all the candidates that made it to the DELSU admission list.

Candidates that are yet to be admitted are advised not to pay money to anybody for admission. Admission is free.

* No departmental cutoff has been released.
* Change of Course Form is not yet out.

DELSU 2022/23 departmental cutoff is yet to be released, the cutoff will be released when the post utme supplementary exams is concluded, the departmental cutoff will be fixed after the average scores of each students is analyzed and it varies from department to department, the cutoff also changes from year to year.
So for now disregard any departmental cutoff flying around.

CAN YOU CHANGE YOUR COURSE AFTER POST UTME EXAM?

Yes, you can.

As soon as Cut off mark is published. DELSU will begin sales of DELSU change of course, this gives a 2nd chance to those who couldn't meet up to their initial cutoff, course you are changing to must corelate with your JAMB subject combination and you can only change to announced available courses.

DELSU HOSTED THE PARASITOLOGY AND PUBLIC HEALTH SOCIETY OF NIGERIA (PPSN) CONFERENCE.

Over 500 delegates from across Nigeria and beyond attended the 46th Annual Conference of PPSN in Delta State University Abraka.

Which started from the 4th to 6th of October 2022.

Our amiable VC , proudly received delegates being a member of the Society for over 30 years.

He delivered the Keynote Address on the Theme “POLITICAL WILL, TOWARDS DISEASE CONTROL-THE AFRICAN EXPERIENCE”.

Over 300 Oral and Poster Papers were presented at the Conference. It was a very warm and engaging Academic Exercise that brought together Leading Parasitologists and Public Health Consultants in Nigeria and Africa

NANS EDUCATION SUMMIT.

Delta State University today hosted an Education Summit organised by the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS.

The summit X-rayed the Role of Students in Building an Egalitarian Society.

The Chairman Delta State House of Assembly Committee on Education Hon Charles Emetulu, Commissioner for Higher Education, Social Entrepreneurship Advocate Orode Uduaghan and other dignitaries engaged the students on the imperatives and challenges of evolving an egalitarian society.

I hailed the leadership of NANS for rekindling the social consciousness on which the students movement was built in Nigeria.

NIGERIA MEDICAL ASSOCIATION DELEGATIONS VISITS DELSU.

Medical Women's Association of Nigeria, MWAN, Delta State Chapter and the Executive Committee of Delta State Branch, Nigeria Medical Association, NMA separately paid Courtesy Visits to Delta State University Administration today.

The welfare of their members working in DELSU was a major focus of discussion.

Areas of mutual cooperation and collaboration were identified .

The University pledged to support Conferences billed to be hosted by MWAN and NMA on the 3rd and 4th of December respectively.

DELSU 93RD INAUGURAL LECTURE. Delta State University, Abraka hosted a big gathering of distinguished Academics, Prominent Deltans, Students and members of the public to the 93rd in the series Inaugural Lectures delivered by Professor Atare Andy Otite.

His interesting lecture entitled "GENDER DISPARITY IN THE FORMULATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF POLICIES : ARE WOMEN ACTUALLY MARGINALISED? " threw up issues on raising the capacity of women in national development.
