The founder of Hyundai has one of the craziest stories I’ve ever heard…

- Ran away from home 4 times
- Started an auto repair shop to survive
- Turned it into a $30,000,000,000 empire

At first, Chung Ju-yung just wanted to be a teacher.

But his family was too poor to afford schooling.

Chung and his 7 siblings grew up in a poor farming family in North Korea. But Chung had a grander vision for his life: teaching.

However, there was no money for his education, and the family needed him to work the farm.

So he planned his escape.

At 16, he and a buddy left home and got jobs on a construction site.

His dad soon dragged him back home, but this job sparked a love for engineering in Chung.

He soon planned escape number 2 with two friends.

But this time, they were conned out of all their money with fake job offers.

Back to the drawing board…

At 18, he secretly sold one of his dad's cows to buy a train ticket to Seoul, South Korea.

It seemed like he was finally free!

He took any job he could find: laborer, construction worker, handyman — even bicycle delivery guy for a rice store.

The store's owner appreciated Chung's hard work, and at just 22, Chung was able to buy the store on credit.

The business prospered until the start of WWII, when Japanese-imposed rice rationing forced Korean businesses out of the rice trade.

Not again...

He returned to his village for the 4th time and stayed until 1940.

Then he tried Seoul again, this time entering the auto repair business with a loan and a friend.

He didn't know anything about fixing cars. It just seemed like a good business to start at the time.

Chung ended up being a great leader, growing the service garage from 20 to 70 employees in just 3 years while earning more money than he’d ever had in his life.

Yet in 1943, he was forced to merge with a steel plant as part of the war effort.

And it gave him a new idea.

After the war, Chung re-launched his auto repair business, this time naming it Hyundai, which means "modern" in English.

Hyundai Civil Industries began as a construction business, earning government contracts to help rebuild.

Following the Korean War, Hyundai became one of the largest construction companies in South Korea.

As part of his mission to industrialize the country, he established an automobile manufacturing plant.

In 1975, the Hyundai Pony became its first mass-produced car export.

As the construction company grew, Chung continued to diversify. He built roads, bridges, ships, trains, cars, electronics, and in 2011 they built the $430M National Museum of Qatar.

Despite Hyundai Motor Company being worth ~$30B today, I’m obsessed with Chung’s 0-1 story.

It takes a lot of effort to run away from home and fail as many times as he did, just to try it again.

"According to Psychologists, there are four types of Intelligence:

1) Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
2) Emotional Quotient (EQ)
3) Social Quotient (SQ)
4) Adversity Quotient (AQ)

1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ): this is the measure of your level of comprehension. You need IQ to solve maths, memorize things, and recall lessons.

2. Emotional Quotient (EQ): this is the measure of your ability to maintain peace with others, keep to time, be responsible, be honest, respect boundaries, be humble, genuine and considerate.

3. Social Quotient (SQ): this is the measure of your ability to build a network of friends and maintain it over a long period of time.

People that have higher EQ and SQ tend to go further in life than those with a high IQ but low EQ and SQ. Most schools capitalize on improving IQ levels while EQ and SQ are played down.

A man of high IQ can end up being employed by a man of high EQ and SQ even though he has an average IQ.

Your EQ represents your Character, while your SQ represents your Charisma. Give in to habits that will improve these three Qs, especially your EQ and SQ.

Now there is a 4th one, a new paradigm:

4. The Adversity Quotient (AQ): The measure of your ability to go through a rough patch in life, and come out of it without losing your mind.

When faced with troubles, AQ determines who will give up, who will abandon their family, and who will consider su***de.

Parents please expose your children to other areas of life than just Academics. They should adore manual labour (never use work as a form of punishment), Sports and Arts.

Develop their IQ, as well as their EQ, SQ and AQ. They should become multifaceted human beings able to do things independently of their parents.

Finally, do not prepare the road for your children. Prepare your children for the road."

Some time ago, Emeifile, Sanusi Lamido, Soludo were looking at Clement Isong, Vincent, O.Ahmed, M.Borno as YOU are doing now.

The only thing that speaks in the lives of these people and the only difference among them is TIME called TOMORROW. Your tomorrow is only in the hands of God. Get ready to fill the vacuum of the Legend you are looking at as you read this message. The grace of God will eventually take you there.

Don't stop when the road is closed. Continue even if it will take you to create another. We will all get there by special grace of God.

Every king was once a crying baby, every Principal was once a Pupil and every building was once a picture. The person you admire so much was once a nobody. The person you attended his or her wedding was once a chief bachelor or spinster. So why worry in life?

It's not about where you are today but where you will reach tomorrow. Alphabet *"O''* which stands for Opportunity, is absent in *'' yesterday''* but once in *'' tOday'*' And three times in *"tOmOrrOw''* So Stay Positive Always and have hope. Your tomorrow will surely be better than today. Believe in yourself and never give up.

Make sure you have a life outside of social media in 2023.

Live the greatest life possible apart from social media. Only display to the media what you want them to see.

Beyond the eye-catching images and videos, the likes and comments, the cruise, and the internet applause...

Do you live a happy life when you entirely disconnect from the internet or turn off your data? A content family?

Do you currently have a lot going for you?

Do you have supporters in the real world who are rooting for you?

Is love there everywhere around you? Do you give it as well?

Do you sense a good vibe about you?

Do you really have a wonderful life away from social media?

People who are unaware of your true hardships can easily be seduced by empty platitudes and faux affection.

It's simple to hide your suffering and upheaval beneath a grin. It's simple to portray the "best life" and feign happiness for the media.

Do you know what's difficult? the unflinching truth that awaits you apart from social media.

Make sure you have a life outside of social media in 2023.

Visit the estate meetings. Participate in actual gatherings. Meet individuals in person. To the coffee shop to do your work. Attend concerts. Leave the beachside to work. Say hello to new people. Talk to someone on the plane.

Break out of your shell of self-improvement and explore the world beyond the keypad.

Move your priorities around.
Adjust your life's objectives.
Rearrange those in your local vicinity.

Discover, encounter, and relish life. not the one you act out for the camera, but the genuine life.

*When you move from your house to the office (taxi,Danfo, Okada or keke Marwa owners) will be counting on you.*

*If you are driving (Filling Station Owners) will be collecting their share.*

*When you check your (WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media) telecommunication companies will be making money on you.*

*So before you get out of the house you have already paid all these companies something. You have already spent money.*

*Let me not even talk about the rest of the day.*

*So if you are going to bed without making money.*

*How are you going to foot all these bills???*

*Think Residual Income. Start with a small targeted amount and grow as you go.*
