"One of the worst cases was in the summer where two people who had recently been in hospital with heart attacks and cancer. They’d got evicted from their rented accommodation, because their housing benefit wasn’t enough," says Chris Wallis, food bank coordinator for St Ives Foodbank.

Local housing allowance rates aren't enough for many people who rent privately in Cornwall.
