Morning routines were always so hard for me, ESPECIALLY when I was struggling with depression and anxiety. I didn't have any energy to get out of bed, let alone get up at ridiculous hours and start my day with a grueling workout. When I tried doing that though, it made me feel even worse. 😔

there are so many things that you probably want in life. a lot of times, it’s a mental game of actually getting there. i’ve been struggling with this a lot lately. 😕

the hardest part isn’t deciding what it is that we want. it’s what we DO in order to get there.

it’s uncomfortable when we’re breaking through our comfort zone. it’s meant to be uncomfortable so that we grow stronger from it.

when we accept that there’ll be challenges along the way, i think we’d be surprised by how much inner strength we actually have, to get us to where we were always meant to be. 🥰💗⭐️

our biggest mistake is believing that our happiness lies within another person.

we underestimate our own self worth, thinking that we need another soul to complete ours.

but the way we feel about ourselves is what we ultimately see in others. we project our inner selves onto the outer world.

that’s why we need to work on ourselves & fill our own cups with self love. ❤️

only then can we love others unconditionally… without the expectation of getting that love back.

because we’re already full of love on our own. 🥰❤️❤️❤️ . . . .

Are you constantly struggling with ANXIETY & DEPRESSION, but can’t find a realistic & practical path to truly healing? Of course, the journey will look different for everyone, but sometimes a more practical approach may be just what you need… to help you see things differently.

In this video, I’ll share a diagram from Bob Proctor that explains anxiety & depression in a more straightforward way. This explanation was the first to help me shift my mindset into positivity instead of the negative self-talk I had running around in my head on constant replay. It helped me finally see a path to healing, where I couldn’t see one before. I hope this info helps you as much as it’s helped me! RIP Bob Proctor 💞

get to know yourself.

reassess your life & experiences. life is too short to spend it with people who don’t make you feel great about yourself.

I recently started therapy again (YAY!) and opened up to my therapist about my love-hate relationship with making YouTube videos. How much I’m learning about myself and creativity itself in such a short amount of time has been both a blessing and a curse.

She suggested that I create this video for myself and for you all to understand ME a little better. So, to be more vulnerable and transparent with my own healing journey (which was one of the original purposes of this channel), I talk about the anxiety and overwhelm I’ve had surrounding content creation.

You all may not exactly understand the process of “how to make YouTube videos,” but I think you’ll resonate with the struggle of TRULY being yourself. Thank you in advance for listening to me.

I’ve always struggled (& still struggle) with letting go of control & letting the Universe do its thing. The more I cling onto that control, the more painful it becomes. I go through these phases of having unwavering faith until I forget it all & then anxiety kicks in. Do you all struggle with this too? 😣 It’s mentally & emotionally exhausting.

Yikes. I feel like I’ve constantly been hovering over this line between depression & feeling okay.

I know that it all depends on the next step I take, the next thought I have, that decides which side of the line I’ll be on. I get glimpses of how much more amazing life could be. BUT then what should I do next? How should I act? Overthinking sucks.

But what if what you see inside yourself, the visions of what life could be like… what if all of that was meant for you?

If we all take small steps towards that vision, with exactly who we are now, without wanting to be someone else, to be GRATEFUL for the life we live now, then the Universe opens up a life of abundance we were always dreaming of.

Love & accept yourself now. Even with your overthinking, anxiety, depression. Find that little spark of hope underneath it all. Because it’s always been there, waiting for you to Love it all along. ❤️

what TRIGGERS you emotionally? in light of this week’s video about emotional triggers, I wanted to share a reflection of one of my PAST triggers.

i’ve always felt very emotional… i cry at EVERYTHING. whenever i get super happy, super sad, super excited… there’s always at least a few tears. 🥲😂

what always triggered ME was when OTHER people called me sensitive. they’d crack little jokes to remind me of how emotional i was/am, like it’s somehow weak.

…but now, i understand that it wasn’t that other people called me sensitive that triggered me emotionally.

what triggered me was my inability to accept that side of me & me ultimately listening to others’ opinions above my own truth.

knowing this now, i don’t get triggered in this aspect of my life. i now understand that having the ability to feel my emotions is one of the STRONGEST things i can do. & it’s something i will no longer cower in fear of.

what’s something you still need to embrace about yourself? 💗

it took me a long time to truly realize that we NEED the hard times to challenge us. i’m still learning this every single day.

the sooner we can embrace this, the sooner we can embrace ALL that life has to give. the good AND the bad. only then can we GROW ❤️ . . . .

i’ve always been so triggered by people telling me how to live my life. you do whatever you want, but who are YOU to tell ME how to live MY life? 🤨

…then i remember that we all think in terms of comparison. our brains are WIRED to compare, to relate to what we’ve been through in our own lives.

but as long as we’re firm in our own identity and accept ourselves for who we really are, we no longer become triggered by what others say.

but what i eventually learned is that it’s no one’s job to save you. they have their own problems to worry about. & if you sit around waiting for someone to save you…

you’ll be waiting forever. ⏱

the Universe works in weird ways. you ask for “strength” & it gives you painful lessons so that you can learn to be strong on your own. so you can find that power within.

embrace the lesson, no matter in what form it comes to you. you’d be surprised with how much strength you already have, to withstand whatever you’re going through. i can see it. 🥰

My depression came back 🥺 After a year and a half of feeling awesome and not depressed, the feels came rushing back.

I think the difference about this time is that I've learned so much about myself in the last year and a half. I've learned how to self-soothe. I've learned how to love myself. I've learned how to detach and heal. Depression just made me forget for a little... that's all. 💭

It's hard guys, but it's possible to change your mindset. You just gotta give yourself time, patience and compassion. You just gotta do YOU until you're YOU again. 🌟 Taking a break for now - which I also encourage you to do for yourself. We deserve it! 💓

🤔 do you know WHO YOU ARE? loaded question… okay, so then let’s shift gears. do you know WHO YOU WANNA BE?

we plan & live life according to our past. we base everything off of what we know has worked. but that way of life brings immense limitations.

once we get clear on who we wanna be:
⭐️ “i wanna be more intentional”
⭐️ “i wanna exercise more”
⭐️ “i wanna learn more”
⭐️ …etc.

& we can keep that vision in our mind… we continue to shift our reality to become that. to BE that person we’ve always wanted to be. 🥰

so if you don’t know WHO YOU ARE, just stay focused on WHO YOU WANNA BE. & keep working to become that version of yourself every single day.

you’ll be surprised how quickly it can happen. don’t worry about anyone else. your race, your pace. you got this. 💪🏽🤩
