How to produce your vlogs
This is all free. You don’t have to pay for a membership, video editing, or promotions.
All content themes are set by the Content Managers 1 month before submission. Each Content Creator must abide by these themes, though suggestions are very much welcome during online meetings.
Content Creators must write their own scripts and storyboards before shooting videos. The script and storyboard will be submitted along with the raw videos to ensure smooth editing and preserve the original concept/idea of the Content Creator.
All videos must follow these formats:
1080p x 1920p
4K quality
Landscape
mp4
All vlogs must only be at least 10 minutes and at most 15 minutes long.
Content Creators are encouraged to use the Filipino language or their dialect for a more genuine and natural feel.
Shoot intro and extra spiels, main footage, supporting footage (b-rolls), and all other relevant clips. All videos must be at least 15 seconds long.
Do not edit or reformat your video clips. They must be submitted raw. All editing will be done by the official Video Editor of OFWTALKS only.
Submit your videos to [email protected]
Content Managers will review the videos, and may or may not ask Content Creators to reshoot videos. Once videos are approved, they will be sent to the Video Editor for editing, subtitles, and graphics.
After editing, Content Creators will be allowed to review their vlogs and request necessary revisions.
Vlogs will only be uploaded when Content Creators and Content Curators and Managers fully agree for them to be uploaded on our YouTube Channel and promoted on our social media platforms.
You may re-upload the fully edited vlogs on your personal channel. But the vlog should not be re-edited in any way.
In any case, Content Creators cannot deliver vlogs on time, they must inform the Content Managers via [email protected] or thru the WhatsApp/Viber group in advance.
How we generate revenue
As mentioned above, Content Managers are responsible for handling official agreements between advertisers and YouTube.
OFWTalks upholds honesty and transparency. Content Creators will be fully informed of any revenue-generating opportunities for their videos. Content Creators will have a copy of official receipts.
All vlogs uploaded on YouTube will each have a teaser on Facebook and Instagram. The teasers will be boosted to expand their reach and promote more engagement.
Revenue is per video basis, and not shared by all Content Creators of the channel. This will ensure that all Content Creators will be encouraged to create engaging and high-quality content.
The Content Creator will get 60% of his/her video’s revenue. All money transfers will be done through PayPal or any legal way possible. Transfer fees will be shouldered by the Content Creator.
As the main people handling and managing the OFWTalks YouTube Channel, page, and Instagram Page, Content Managers will get 40% of each video’s earnings. The 40% share will be used for Facebook and Instagram boosting, Video Editor’s fee, subscriptions to apps and programs, music downloads, effect downloads, and all other relevant expenses incurred from maintaining the YouTube Channel, page, and Instagram Page.
To gain more viewers and subscribers, all members of this online community should help promote the videos by sharing them on personal Facebook and Instagram accounts and other social media platforms.
How we stay connected
Content Managers will open a WhatsApp group chat for all Content Creators. We can all communicate, suggest ideas, ask for guidance, and encourage each other through WhatsApp.
All business meetings will be done via Zoom. Content Managers will send individual meeting links. In the first few months of Content Creator’s participation, monthly meetings will be done for brainstorming and review of video submissions.
The [email protected] is also open for all relevant concerns, questions, and suggestions from Content Creators.
