For all of you fans of The Traveler, or even if you just happened to stop by, here is a Valentines gift. A free download of the Hawaiian Forgiveness chant, Ho-o-pono-pono, that I put to music. because, well, nothing says Love like Forgiveness, and you can't have too much. 70 x 7, right? As you listen or sing along with this, bring to mind someone you feel has wronged you, and let it go. Feel how powerful forgiveness can be. https://soundcloud.com/cathy-dewitt/ho-opono-pono1

Anytown

Every day it seems we lose yet another independent, locally-owned business as the powers-that-be continue to cut down stands of 100 year old trees and demolish historic buildings in order to build another cookie cutter development or Wal-mart. If we don't start paying attention, we will soon look like just another Anytown U.S.A.

This poignant song, written by Bob McPeek and sung by Janet Rucker with Patchwork, laments the loss of local independent businesses, neighborly know-how, and unique Main Streets in todays America.

Today on The Traveler: Healing Journeys Through Music
Meet the Amazing David Beede: Musician, Master Craftsman, Minstrel, Mentor

I first met David Beede nearly 40 years ago--Whew, that's hard for us to believe! But during that time I have seen him do many things--and do all of them well. He has been a boat builder, a maker of bowed psalterys and one-of-a-kind dulcimers, including the Eede Beede. (See www.davidbeede.com).

His spiritual journey has been many-faceted and deep, exploring many paths. The constant throughout all of this has been music, in which I've seen him grow both as a builder, a player, a teacher, and an excellent performer and songwriter. He is also one of the kindest and funniest people I know. Take advantage of this opportunity to meet the amazing David Beede by listening live at 2:00EST on Friday April 4th, or any time thereafter.
