📅 Gruodžio 1 d., 15 val., kviesime į vienintelę VIDEOGRAMOS’24 work in progress sesiją, kurioje režisieriai Alexander Belinski ir Agnė Dovydaitytė pristatys savo kuriamą dokumentinį filmą „Baltic Uxo“.

1,6 tonos sprogstamųjų karo liekanų (angl. UXO) buvo palaidotos Baltijos ir Šiaurės jūrose po Antrojo pasaulinio karo pabaigos. Filme leidžiamės į mąslią ir meditatyvią vizualią kelionę, kurios metu stebime, su kokiomis sprogmenų laidojimo pasekmėmis šiandien susiduria Baltijos regiono gamta ir gyventojai.

Filmo operatorius ir režisierius Alexander Belinski gimė Ukrainoje, užaugo Vokietijoje ir Anglijoje, o šiuo metu gyvena Lietuvoje. Kartu su Agne Dovydaityte jie susipažino žurnalistikos studijų Londone metu ir persikraustė į Lietuvą 2018 pabaigti savo pirmojo filmo „Saulė leidžias rytuose“ (Ji.Hlava premjera). „Baltic UXO“ yra antrasis jų projektas, kurį kūrėjai pristatė skirtingose dirbtuvėse: Ex. Oriente, Karlovy Vary Works in Progress, Berlinale Talents Doc Station, laimėjo pagrindinį prizą Docu Talents from the East pristatyme ir daugiau.

This series of nine short films, created over three years, blends contemporary dance with architecture across Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, France, and Ukraine. Each film uniquely explores how the structures around us interact with the fluidity of the human body, inviting viewers to rediscover architecture from different eras and regions.

🐋We are thrilled to announce that the international jury at CineLink Industry Days has awarded the Docu Talent Award for the most promising project to our Lithuanian-German-Latvian co-production BALTIC UXO, directed by Agnė Dovydaitytė and Alex Belinski, and produced by Dagnė Vildžiūnaitė.

🐋This award, presented in cooperation with the festival’s partner , comes with a financial prize of $5,000.

🐋The jury shared the following statement:

“The jury were in full agreement about the qualities of this project—it looks very professional, features beautiful cinematography, and turns a hidden secret into a universal story. We can imagine the success of the planned impact campaign, connecting the film to contemporary conversations around environmentalism, militarism, and the political decisions that happen without our knowledge.”
