The winners of the Grand Prix in the Chamber Music category of the previous edition!

The ensemble "NEXUM" won not only the Grand Prix financial prize but also a concert in the Lithuania National Philharmonic Society, which will take place on November 3rd.

We’re excited to share the newest regulations of the 7th Vilnius IYMC Premio Scarlatti! This year, the prestigious musical event is hosted by the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art. This year, the event will take place from the 26th to the 31st of June 2024, so make a note in your diaries!

The competition is open to musicians under 35 years old in four different categories:
🟡Piano Category: up to 28 years old;
🟡String Instruments Category: up to 28 years old;
🟡Vocal Soloists Category: up to 35 years old;
🟡Chamber Music Category: up to 30 years old.

Avevamo appena imparato a sognare insieme, accompagnati dalle musiche che portavi nel Museo...

Ci mancherai don Gino!

Don Gino, sacerdote molfettese classe 1954, è venuto a mancare questa mattina a seguito di un malore. Ordinato sacerdote il 22 giugno 1979, nel corso del suo ministero è stato parroco della parrocchia Madonna della Rosa (1989-2018) seguendone attentamente la nuova costruzione.

Parroco del Duomo di Molfetta e docente di Religione Cattolica presso il Liceo classico “L. da Vinci” di Molfetta. Don Gino è stato direttore del settimanale diocesano Luce e Vita dal 1984 al 1987, fondatore dell’etichetta Digressione Music e lo ricordiamo per il grande contributo offerto nei primi momenti del conflitto Russo-Ucraino riuscendo a trasferire alcuni profughi ucraini da Leopoli in Italia.

Dallo scorso anno era parte attiva della gestione dei servizi culturali del Museo diocesano.

Jaunosios kartos klasikinės gitaros virtuozas Markas Leightonas prieš aštuonerius metus su pagyrimu baigė Karališkąjį Šiaurės muzikos koledžą, kur jam dėstė tarptautinį pripažinimą pelnęs gitaristas Craigas Ogdenas. Dar antraisiais studijų metais M. Leightonas įkūrė ansamblį .....

„Kai turiu laiko nuo repeticijų ir mokymosi, man labai patinka gaminti, ypač draugams. Mėgstu išbandyti skirtingus receptus, daugiausia juos atrandu „YouTube“, ypač man patinka Pasta Grannies kanalas 😅🍝.

Bet man patinka taip pat ir video žaidimai 🎮 Tai puikus būdas praleisti daugiau laiko su broliais.
Kai esu namuose, Jungtinėje Karalystėje, mėgstu vaikščioti po kalnus. Gamta mane traukia! Kiekvienoje šalyje randu neatrastų dalykų. Štai Austrijoje - kiek kartų čia buvau, tiek negalėjau atsigrožėti kraštovaizdžiu! Įdomu, kokius atradimus patirsiu Lietuvoje?!"

CLASS OF 2024 // PIJUS PIROGOVAS 🇱🇹🇬🇧

Pijus Pirogovas recently left his homeland Lithuania to study at the renowned Purcell School in London. His successes include numerous prizes across Europe, which he won at the Chopin Competition in Narva, the Riga International Competition for Young Pianists, and the Peter Toperczer Competition in Kosice, among many others. He performed recitals in many countries, the list including Lithuania, France, Italy, and Switzerland. His piano teachers are Liuda Kasetiene Mikkelsen and Morta Grigaliūnaitė.

Yana Serbina is a winner of various international competitions, such as the “Roma” piano competition and the Vilnius International Youth Music Competition "Scarlatti Award". At the beginning of the war she fled her hometown of Kharkiv and was accepted into Justas Dvarionas' class at Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania.

𝐈𝐍 𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐄 - 𝐌𝐨𝐤𝐲𝐭𝐨𝐣𝐨 𝐢𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐳𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐢 𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐚𝐢.
Nors iki birželio 1 dienos, dar tikrai daug laiko ir iki šios datos įvyks visokių kitokių gražių dalykų - asmeniškai, šio momento, kai su mylima Mokytoja susitiksime vienoje scenoje, laukiau daug metų.
2024 metais švęsime profesorės Giedrės Lukšaitės- Mrázkovos 80-ąjį jubiliejų. Viliuosi, kad šis koncertas bus vienas iš daugelio renginių, o taip pat ir paskata kitoms kultūros ir švietimo įstaigoms Lietuvoje, prisiminti ir paminėta šį gražų, labai gražios ir švytinčios asmenybės jubiliejų.
Na, o mes su Mokytoja, 2024 metais švęsime mūsų nuostabiai gražios draugystės ir mentorystės dvidešimtmetį, apie kurį galėčiau kalbėti ilgai ir nenuobodžiai.
O tuo tarpu, kaip sako Profesorė: "Belieka sėsti ir "treniruotis"".

💥Finally, we can announce the debut of young Lithuanian virtuoso pianist Pijus Pirogovas in Rome at the Festival Giardini della Filarmonica 2023!
Young pianist Pijus Pirogovas was born in 2008 in Vilnius. A promising pianist, he began his musical studies at only five years of age. He has already made a name for himself in national and international music competitions, winning first prizes and Grand Prix awards, including the Grand Prix prize and a Special 'Scarlatti Prize' for the best performance of Domenico Scarlatti at the Vilnius International Music Competition 'Scarlatti Award' (2022, Lithuania); he recently won the 1st Absolute Prize in the International Music Competition Euterpe in Corato (2023, Italy); 1st Prize at the International Chopin Competition in Narva (2020, Estonia).

Two concerts will be held on:
📍 21 June, at 7 p.m. in the Marco Scacchi Museum and Cultural Centre of Gallese (Via Lorenzo Filippini 3, Gallese) and
📍 22 June, at 8 p.m. in the Sala Casella of the Accademia Filarmonica Romana (Via Flaminia, 118, Rome).
Pijus will perform a heterogeneous musical programme, including composers from the best Western tradition and a tribute to Balys Dvarionas, a 20th-century Lithuanian composer.

Vilnius IYM Competition "Scarlatti Award" is honored to have such great partners as Wanda Landowska Festival & Competition and Associazione Culturale "Terra Gialla", which offers the possibility for young music talents to perform in their Festival in Ruvo di Puglia.
The 4th of June will be the turn of young Lithuanian pianist Pijus Pirogovas, the winner of the Grand Prix and the special prize "Premio Scarlatti" of the last edition "Scarlatti Award" 2022!
This will be the first of three concerts that Pijus will hold in Italy in June.
Special gratitude goes to the organizers and artistic director, M° Margherita Porfido.
