Do not try to hold someone or something in your life. It will only lead you to suffering. Take a look around. Nature is very wise. Everything around is composed of the elements. Try to hold back the fire and you will burn yourself. Wind, water or earth, and they rush to get enough sleep through their fingers. Everything is born free. Your task is only to create conditions for the fire to burn brighter, but do not keep it in any way, otherwise it will consume you.
