The Liberian refugee camp commonly known as Buduburam Refugee camp came under heavy demolition today after series of warnings ⚠️ from the Ghanaian authority of the closure of the camp. The main Area affected today includes Area A and it surrounding.
Many Liberian are displaced as houses and businesses in the area were all destroyed by the demolition exercise.
The Ghanaian authority acknowledged Liberian living in Ghana 🇬🇭 that they are not considered as refugee due to the consisting conduct of election and the existence of peace enjoy by Liberian at home.
However, many Liberian held to the belief that they should be treated as refugee because they flew from Liberia due to the brutality, political and religious presecution carry out during the Civil War, and believe that these same people are still in authority and holding key 🔑 positions in government, these are amongst many reasons Liberian believe that their rights as human should be respected and still be seen as refugee in ghana 🇬🇭.
