Striker Ishmael Konneh is optimistic of being the top scorer this season.

" I do believe that my team will win the league and I will be the top scorer of the season by God's grace.

" I'm gonna make my friends, fans, family, supporters proud this season."

Konneh had scored two goals in two seasons for the Conquerors of FC Kallon since his debut in December 2021.

His first came in a 2--1 defeat to Prince Football Club on 18 December and the last against Marvelous in January 2022.

He didn't score in the 2022/2023 season as a striker.

Montserrado Sub Association's update on clubs about the upcoming season.

As for Johnsonville Subcommittee League, three clubs: Destine Youth of Professionals, Robert Foundation and James Football Club have completed documentations ahead of the season's opener.(100%)

Another three sides, Football Club Kallon, DOSA Football Club and Hawa Football Club are nearing completion with minimum work to be done. ( 70%)

Kpehkpeh Football Club and Prince Football Club are not in the system till present. (0%)

Elijah Dorbor is a generational talent who plays for Prince Football Club in the Johnsonville Subcommittee League.

A decade ago, Dorbor began his football career with Blessing Football Club. While growing up, he was used as both a winger and left back.

After his two years stint with his boyhood side, the leftee switched to Eleven Star Football Club, a stay which lasted till 2017.

The signature of the DOMFAH's student was secured on a one year deal by Refuge City lasting from 2017 to 2018.

At the completion of his contract with the Refugees, defender Dorbor penned a deal with another side, Prince Football Club.

Since his move to the Karnkarn Town outfit, the ISSA League winner has established himself as a key pillar in the defensive structure of Coach Joshua Dogolea's team.

Unfortunately on the 8th of February 2023, the youngster got himself into trouble after a brawl with player, Michael Jordan of Robert Foundation.

Both players saw red from referee Matthew Sloh and got suspended for at least two matches.

During the ISSA Zone 8 competition of 2023, the DOMFAH Academy Professionals Institute ( DAPI) won the title as Elijah was key to the success.

Name: GLEN WAYLEE JOHNSON

Date of Birth: September 28, 2001

Status: Class B Referee

Glen Waylee Johnson is a match official who frequently takes assignments at the Johnsonville Subcommittee League.

Before being a referee, Johnson played in the fourth league for Blackspheres Football Club and made it to the 3rd division level.

After the completion of his contract with the Blacks, Glen moved to Young Gunners in 2007, a side from the Chocolate City Community.

Moreover in 2010, the defensive minded midfielder switch to Dealbah Football Club.

While in secondary school, the match controller won the Best Defensive Award in the Inter School Sports Association (2010) with Kulah Memorial Academy at the Tusa Field in Gardnesville.

Glen Waylee Johnson ended his football career with Survival Football Club in 2015 and began his pursuit for the whistle.

The match controller forms a familiar partnership with referee Aaron Flomo as both men have managed over 50 matches in all competitions.

" I love to officiate games with high intensity. It pushes me to be on an alert and broadens my insight on the pitch.

" I'm good on the line as an assistant referee (AR), but better in the center. Johnson had had stints in the second division as an assistant referee in 2018 and was promoted to the first league.

" I'm also a coach for my community girls team. I've carried the community girls to 3 leagues and we won two, and I'm also the coach for my block girls. My block won 3 block leagues and 4 different cups. I was coaching three schools and teaching two Bible and PE Free gospel school girls team, Nela Educational Foundation School System coaching both boys and girls and teaching Bible and PE. Royal Academy School coaching boys and girls.

Glen Johnson graduated from the Liberia Dujar College's plumbing class in 2015 and added it with a computer software knowledge from the Young Men Christian Association (YMCA).

Name: OBADIAH DERMAH

Date of Birth: August 4, 1995

Position: President

Club: Destine Youth of Professionals

Obediah Dermah is a football stakeholder and President of the Destine Youth of Professionals in the Johnsonville Sub-committee League.

Prior to his top post with the Villagers, Dermah had playing days with Hawa Football Club in 2010 to 2011. His stay with Hawa FC lasted for one season before joining another team.

Having proven himself on the pitch, Obediah switched and signed a four year deal with Jesus Generation Football Club where he held the armband as captain.

STARZ DIARY quizzed him about the founding of Destine Youth:

" The team started as a community based side but later we started partaking in other tournaments; that's how I took the team to the national league.

The Villagers had a debut season in the League in 2020 where they missed out on playoffs slot that year.

Moreover, the following season saw Coach Jack Dunson's men finishing as runners up to Discoveries SA with one point difference ( 23--24).

In spite of the trophy drought, the Council of the Village went on a shopping spree in the 2022 & 2023 season securing the signatures of Edward Johnson, Lional Jericho Ciapha, Dennis Wilson, Samuel Momoh, Vamba Dorley etc.

Another setback came as the Legacy boys of Discoveries retained the title which coincided with Destine Youth qualifying to the Montserrado Playoffs.

At the playoffs, the side lost two and won one, scoring three goals and conceding six which got them eliminated by Caldwell United.

Dermah's point about the Playoffs:

" Yes, because we were not prepared and moreover we had administrative problem so it affected the players as well".

Optimism about the upcoming season:

" This coming league season will be one of the best seasons for the team base on the players that we had and the ones that we have signed. I'm confident that we will win the championship this season".

Obediah is a graduate of the Mother Esther Nyemah High School in Johnsonville and also specializes in General Constructions.

Yanquoi Flomo is the head coach of newly promoted 3rd division side, James Football Club.

Before being a gaffer, the sport man played for Sinkor Young Star FC, Airfield 3rd division for three seasons.

After the completion of his contract, Flomo migrated to Barnersville where he spent one season for Junior Pro FC.

Unfortunately, the tactician left the pitch due to a personal reason and signed on 11 January 2022, with James Football Club during the club's time in the Mass League.

With a great vigor for the Community League in 2023, the Kebbah outfit won the title with one point difference against rival, DOSA on MUYAN Field.

" I want to appreciate God for this gone season; it was my first time to appear as a coach in the Community League. And to go in agreement with team President and officials to take this club to the third division league and also to win the championship 🏆.

It was my dream and prayers every blessed day to God to answer me.Let say a big thanks to my role model Coach Alphanso W. Giddings who took Pepper FC to the 3rd league for his words and encouragement in my life.

For the coming season in the third division league, I am going into this league as a new coach and with committed players who are willing to carry James FC to the championship 🏆 and also to the second division league.

I know we're going to meet teams that have been in the league with experience, bu we are not thinking on it; our focus is gold," assured Flomo.

Yanquoi ended his high school journey with Bishop Grimley High School in Barnesville and studied Electrical Engineering at the Salvation Army College.

Gabriel Lloyd is an energetic midfielder who captains Hawa Football Club in the Johnsonville Sub-committee League.

The middle man began his career at the Varmer Kpoto Academy in 2014 where he learned the basic fundamentals of being a workaholic destroyer.

His three years stay at the football learning house came to an end in 2017 as he joined the Street Soccer Academy for a period of one season.

The captain of the Grandma Boyz had a short stint with his second team and made a transfer move to Iron Factory side, William Eleven.

Another transfer hit the future of Lloyd as the midfielder moved to the grandma boyz of Hawa Football Club as a free agent in 2019.

His ruthless tackles and breathless pressing in the middle of the pitch impose fears among his opponents and give him an extra edge as he also drops deeper to support the backline.

The one time best young player in the Pastor Kromah League in New Georgia guided the Kebbah based outfit to a qualification spot to the 3rd division as Coach Howard's men finished the season at third position (13 points) after leading the table for few rounds.

STARZ DIARY asked the four times best player of Hawa Football Club about the upcoming season:

"Well, Hawa is coming prepare! The grandmother Boyz are putting in lot of energy because it is our biggest stage we have ever reached as a team.
