Lofa County May Pull Out Of This Year's National County Sports Meet..
Lofa County brought to the National County Sports Meet a new dynamism three years ago which caught the attention of every Liberian.
That momentum ignited a new spirit in Lofa County's participation in national County sports meet.
The appointment of business man Momo Tarnue Cyrus gave Lofa a new direction in participating in the national event which the county failed to win before Momo Cyrus' appointment as head of the Country Sports Steering committee.
Momo Cyrus oversaw the county winning the football and kickball trophies for the first time in the County's history.
Not just winning the two titles, but Lofa Sports Steering committee under Mr. Cyrus raised the bar to a level other counties are still trying to beat.
Lofa became an attractive team for top players with Momo Cyrus in charge.
But with his decision to leave the committee, no one seems interested to step in his shoes.
Lofa county Superintendent has over the months struggled to fine a replacement for Momo Cyrus.
Several prominent and eminent citizens of the county have refused to accept appointment to the Steering committee, something which has created a dark shadow for the county's participation.
Lofa is to host three other counties in the group stage of the tournament, but up to Press time, a new steering committee is yet to be appointed.
This is frustrating Superintendent William Kema's efforts in ensuring that Lofa County keeps the momentum build three years ago.
While other counties are shortly beginning preparations, Lofa County is at zero.
A close source to the county superintendent said the county could pull out of the tournament because Lofaians are shying away from taking up the responsibility to mobilize the county's participation.

Stanley N.Konah Jr is one of the new entries to the FIFA list .
He has been one of the outstanding young referee but was under the spotlight in the 2020-2021 National Third Division Playoff between a crucial fixture involving Champions SUSA FC of Margibi County versus Monterrado County runner-up Pepper FC in Nimba County.
Konah was one of 12 referees promoted from Class B to Class A in February.
Since his entries on the International scene Konah has B involved with several Orange National League matches most especially in the top-tier league of Liberia ๐ฑ๐ท.
Konah was at the center attraction on Sunday, 3 April at the George Weah Technical Center in Careburgs where I.E. suffers a 1-0 home defeat to Heaven Eleven in the Orange National League-1st Division.
Konah was in the center circle on 13 March at the SKD PP with Freeport FC playing I.E. to a 1-1 draw.
He was again at the Tusa Field on 6 March where LISCR FC pinned Watanga FC 2-1.
Konah has been part of several games since he enter into the referees association which include NCSM,Monsterrado County District Legue Barnesville Estate Area League among others.
Konah assignment tomorrow is his first in the LFA-MARGIBI SubAssociation Green Petroleum Third Division League this season.
Konah will be guided by Francis O.Bah serves as assistant referee # 1 while Isaiah T. Mulbah serves as assistant referee # 2.
Margibi County outstanding female Class A referee Lovetee L.Sector takes the touchline as 4th official.
