Update!
Whoever thought that a female Representative would publicly lie to the entire country that Contractors just woke up one morning and marched on Capitol Hill and damaged chairs the Liberian government spent money to buy?
This unrealistic belief came to reality when the People of District #5, Montserrado County elected Representative Priscilla Cooper as their lawmaker in 2023. Representative Cooper on November 11, 2024, issued a press statement intentionally stating that the Joint Chambers of the Legislature was in control of the contractors who were contracted to work on the building.
Her statement came as a result of an attack on the Joint Chambers, which resulted in damaging Chairs.
Recently, the Liberia National Police contacted the contractors in question, and they told LNP investigators that they were not in charge of the Joint Chambers during the incident.
