Steering Committee Of Bomi County for 2024-2025 National County Sports Meet.

Bomi County Sports Association has confirmed that player Vamba Dorley broke his leg while playing for the county against B**g county on Wednesday, January 15,2025, at the David T. Koyon Sports pitch in Gbarnga, B**g County.

Player Vamba Dorley who plays for Jubilee FC in the LFA Second Division Championship sustained the injury during a tackle with an attacker from B**g County after collapsed.

The leadership and people of Bomi County extend their heartfelt support and speedy recovery to player Varmah Dorley, who sustained an injury while honoring the county's second match in Group A against B**g County during the 2025 National County Sports Meet in Gbarnga City, B**g County.

The release further stated that the county made an initial payment of $56,000.00 LD earlier today to fund his x-ray and treatment process.

According to Mr. Abdul Kanneh, Bomi County Sports Steering Committee Chairperson, the Jubilee Defender has been a dedicated, discipline and invaluable player of the County team

Player Vamba Dorley absent from the county team has created a big vacuum for the team and hope that he recovers in the soonest possible time, Mr. Kanneh Added.

Kanneh indicated, that the county regrets the unfortunate incident and assures everyone that player Dorley will receive the best medical care and support during these challenging time.

"Bomi County takes full responsibility for all medical expenses and associated needs to ensure player Dorley’s swift and full recovery", He added

He however stated that the county leadership, along with the sports management team, is already working with medical professionals to provide him with immediate and comprehensive medical care.

We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him return stronger than ever.

We call on all citizens of Bomi and sports lovers across Liberia to join us in praying for Vamba Dorley’s quick recovery.

Meanwhile as it relates to other injuries concern, the Bomi Sports Association has also confirmed that player Kelvin Konuwah who plays for LPRC Oilers, who was stretch off the pitch in the first half of the match between Bomi and B**g is recovering gradually and the association is hopeful that he will return in time to honor the county the last match against Grand Bassa on Saturday.
