Breaking:

The establishment of the War and Economic Crimes Court received overwhelming support from senators inclusive of Prince Johnson and Thomas Yaya Nimely.

The resolution is on its way to the House of Representatives for final concurrence.

27 members of the Liberian Senate including Senator Prince Johnson of Nimba and Senator Thomas Yaya Nimely of Grand Gedeh Counties today signed a resolution to Establish War and Economic Crimes Court in the Country.

Senator Johnson and Nimely are both warlords mentioned in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission report for prosecution.

The signing of the Resolution by these two Lawmakers marks a historic moment for a new Liberia where doers of crimes are willing to face justice and give victims justice through a legal process.

Mandingo Yard's Households have allegedly been attacked leaving several injured many damages around Seventy Second Community.

The Holy Month of Ramadan seems to be bitter for some Muslims in Liberia after several family members were allegedly attacked leaving several injured.

Several Liberians belonging to one family group were reportedly attacked by some community dwellers over what seems to be unnecessary hate against some Muslims.

Speaking to our microphone the head of the victims noted, when her Daughter was preparing food for morning breakfast around 8pm on March 31, 2024, some guys came in their yard insulting and abusing that led them asking those guys to leave the premice but refused.

Hadja Kamara indicated that some unscrupulous individuals entered in their yard with insult, saying "these Mandingo Dog ney can eat too much" and other insults when they asked them to leave their yard it turned chaotic.

The case has been reported to the Liberia National Police zone 9 detachment in Jacob Town Paynesville. But the family is seeking for justice.

The incident occurred around Chinese Cold storage in Seventy Second Community Mandingo Yard.

CDC-COP Declares Edwin Kla Martin & his Compromised Assets Recovery Team as Persona Non-Grata; Calls to Chairman Kowo to Not Submit Any Partisans to this Kangaroo Process; Informs Mr. Joseph N. Boakai that his Refusal to Dissolve this team will Accelerate his Administration's Downfall

Fellow countrymen and women of the motherland and distinguished members of the fourth estate, we bring a plentiful revolutionary salutation as distressed Liberia needs urgent intervention and redemption.

The CDC-COP as a political civil rights movement believes that Liberia is so divided that embracing reconciliation and national healing should be the hallmark of any civilised administration but unfortunately, Mr. Boakai and his autocratic and insensitive assembly of state squanderers have failed to realise that they are on a thread margin of leadership with less than an ATS full football stadium. The Boakai's administration continuous selective favouritism, margilinazation, and intimidation of a particular political institution wrapped in the revenge motion is a recipe for national pandemonium.

CDC-COP sees Mr. Boakai's decision to appoint Kla Martin and a group of unsophisticated, unprofessional, compromised partisan elements to do political bidding undermined the essence of the assets recovery. This very Kla Martin as Head of Boakai's Assets Recovery Team is on record for accusing the Weah's administration of wanting to kill him. How can such an accuser be a judge for his accused? The CDC-COP sees Kla Martin as an angry, compromised and vindictive man on a revenge mission to settle scores with political opponents. Therefore, we believe Kla Martin is unfit to render an impartial judgment looking at his conflicted emotion towards the Amb. Weah's and his associates. We use this medium to declare Kla Martin and his cronies of revenge fighters as Persona Non-Grata. We consider their reasoning and judgement as that of Boakai's Unity Party and call on the Liberian people to resist them physically whenever they see them.

CDC-COP calls on Chairman Atty. Augustine Janga Kowo to be reminded that he has the mandate to protect and defend all partisans and affiliates of the mighty Congress for Democratic Change ( CDC ). Chairman Kowo, the CDC-COP wants to inform you that in a matter of days, Mr. Boakai will instruct Kla Martin to name prominent members of the CDC in their attempt to ridicule their hard-earned reputation. This is a calculated attack on the CDC and we urge your honourable office to not submit any CDCian to such a Kangaroo process. We are calling on you to employ brutal revolutionary resistance and we will stand with you physically and politically in resisting Mr. Boakai and his insensitive state squanderers.

The CDC-COP urges Mr. Boakai to immediately dissolve the current assets recovery team and empower the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission ( LACC) to carry out this process if he means well for Liberia. Anything short of the LACC being empowered financially and with all the necessary support to execute its function is a waste of taxpayers' money intended to witch-hunt political opponents and create a political distraction that will be resisted and responded to politically and Mr. Boakai will be held accountable for fueling the ramification thereto.

President Boakai Hails Liberian Athletes’ Performance at the13th African Games; Salutes Lone Star for the Win in Djibouti

Executive Mansion, Monrovia: President Joseph N. Boakai is commending Liberian athletes for their outstanding performance at the 13th African Games held in Accra, Ghana. The Liberian national soccer team, the Lone Star, also received praise from the President for their 2-0 win against the Djibouti Team in Morocco.

The President expressed his gratitude and admiration to the athletes for their impressive performances, which helped promote Liberia's image. He conveyed his pride in the athletes who are primarily residents of the United States and had flown to represent Liberia in the continental games. The President’s sentiments were conveyed through a special telephone conversation held with Mr. Malcolm Joseph, Head of the Liberian National Olympic Committee Delegation who is with the athletes in Accra.

The Liberian athletes won four prestigious medals in various competitions, including track and field, table tennis, boxing, and taekwondo.
Liberian track and field athlete Maia McCoy received a silver medal, becoming Africa's second-fastest woman after clocking 11.49 seconds in the 100-meter and 4X4 relay.
The Scrabble Squad won the second silver medal, while Liberia's Grace Fahnbulleh won bronze in the women's boxing category.

The President congratulated the athletes for their sacrifices and resilience, highlighting the meaningful day for the resurgence of the spirit of love and patriotism in Liberia. Regarding the Lone Star's victory, the President welcomed it and urged Liberians to look forward to the return match with optimism and confidence.

Boakai's first 60 days has nothing good to show, promises unfulfilled and extra judicial Killing at rise. ELBC former Deputy Director Boima JB Boima says.

Former Deputy Director for rural Broadcasting at LBS Boima JB Boima has accused President Joseph Boakai's administration of increasing Liberians suffering.

According to JB Boima, UP'S led Government has brought unexplained suffering and difficulties to the citizens in the Country, adding that Boakai's first 60 days has nothing value to show.

He writes:

"Today mark 60 days of JNB in office. During the campaign, he promised to start fixing Liberia the moment he takes office. He said food prices will drop and that no car will hitch in the mud during his first 100 days. But his first 60 days has brought nothing good besides untold suffering and empty excuses. Reports of extra judicial Killing of innocent protesters in a local mine, dismissal of people believed to be members of the opposition CDC, a display of power drunkenness and a gross political witch-hunt, have been widespread across the country within this first 60 days. Even people who supported him in some communities have started expressing regret for doing so at this early stage. Some members of his government said the country was “damaged” under former President George M. Weah but yet, the first paragraph of their new budget essay says otherwise.
