The Lord says in Jeremiah 33:1, Call to me and I will answer you and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. So we are going to call on God right now!

Theme: LET’S CONTEND FOR GOD’S PRESENCE IN OUR LIVES AND CHURCH THROUGH PRAYERS!
Texts: Deut. 31:6-8; Rev. 21:3; Zep. 3:17; Gen. 28:15
Prepared: Pastor William Kwame Tetteh
I pray that your heart and soul yearn ever than before for more of God’s presence. His lasting promises to His disciples as Matthew 28:20 recorded, “I will be with you always”. His presence is a promise we must contend for in our lives and in our ministry today. The LORD now seeks hearts which will contend for His Presence (2 Chronicle 16:19), and I will want you and myself to respond as David put it in Psalm 27:8. In the presence of God, there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11) and there is grace in His sight (Exodus 33:10, Hebrews 4:16). God’s presence is a definite assurance of His protection and guidance (Deut. 31:8). Psalms 91 confirms that He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. No evil or sickness will befall you because you have made the LORD’s presence your dwelling place. You will not be afraid or fear evil because His presence is with you and you will not lack because of God’s presence with you (Psalm 27:1, 4).
Fervently we must pray often that God will not cast us not away from your presence as David did (Psalm 51:11). As matter of fact let this prayer never cease from our mouth (1 Thess. 5:17). Let us contend for God’s presence through prayers. God himself told Jeremiah, according to Jeremiah 29:13-14, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the LORD, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the LORD, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile”.
As we pray for God’s presence in our lives and in our ministry, Revelation 21:3 says, And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. Zephaniah 3:17 tells us that “The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing”. As we contend for God’s presence in our lives and in our ministry, “For thus says the LORD of hosts: Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land. And I will shake all nations so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with glory, says the LORD of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the LORD of hosts. The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the LORD of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, declares the LORD of hosts”. Haggai 2:6-9
I am calling you today to seek the presence of God, for God rewards those who seek him. And without faith, it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. (Hebrews 11:6). We are contending for God’s presence through prayers for the rest of this year's journey. David says something inspiring to recall as you begin to contend for God’s presence. Psalm 55:17- Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan, and he hears my voice. He will reward you if you seek diligence with all your heart, mind, and soul. The Bible says when Daniel noticed that the document has been signed and sealed he increased his time in the presence of God. Daniel 6:10 - When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.
We are going to increase our prayer time to contend for the presence of God in our lives and ministry.
