The road to sustained happiness is thru DISCIPLINE of your behavior. Don't say you cant. Put the work in. You have to have a DREAM, a GOAL and then DISCIPLINED BEHAVIOR in order to further success in life!

Discipline of my behavior has been something I have repeatedly struggled with throughout my life. I used excuses for far too long among them were horrible habits of starting things and never finishing them including goals, jobs and my own well being. It honestly boggled my mind how people can stick to something and thru hard work and dedication got to their end result. I understood it of course, but couldn't see where in the hell the motivation and discipline came from.

The trick was I've found out recently was to simply stick to it day in and day out putting in 110%. Get up and get after it. All the videos I watch, the literature I read every morning etc said the same thing. Don't be lazy Jon, Don't make excuses, and ABOVE ALL stop letting that voice inside from your past tell you you aren't worth it, you won't make it. STOMP ON THAT VOICE AND CRUSH THE CHORDS! That is what I did and it worked. I learned that we have to put in the mental work ALONG with the physical work on ourselves, because for someone like me with my past, one cannot go without the other.

After accomplishing the above, I found that discipline of my mind as well as body with work, started showing results. To bed early, out of bed early. Sticking to my routine no matter what day it is. Hitting the gym daily. I found out that when you build a HEALTHY habit and stick to it, it will become second nature in time which fuels my personal growth which ignites the fire inside of me to continue down this path I've started laying the bricks to. I've learned finally after all these years I needed to create a habit to develop discipline! I spent so many years creating self destructive habits, thinking and lifestyles it feels great finally realizing I have it in me to go further down a positive path daily, hourly even by the minute!

I will continue on this road. I got hell out of who I used to be and what I used to do, but now thru hard work I'm finding the greatest joy in my journey of life and to me, there is no giving up, no giving in and NEVER EVER going back. To know I have this in me to beat the odds I never thought I could, is a feeling that is indescribable. To know I will never become another statistic is beyond enjoyable. To KNOW I deserve this is amazing and to finally have discipline, goals and successes in the most rewarding part of all of this thing I call my journey and my road to recovery.
