So sad for our country (Liberia).
Liberia is not a Christian nation, stop slamming Hon Karishma Pelham Raad Only because she recommended that the president declares this year's Ramadan day as a holiday. We are all preaching messages of love and unity on a daily basis but in our hearts we hate each other. Liberia is for everyone and no one group of people has the right to put their name on it. Muslims are our brothers and so we must respect their opinions even if we can't grant them. But sadly I see many of you who claim to be educated calling Muslims foreigners and saying that Liberia is a Christian State. Your hatred for Islam or Muslims in this country shouldn't make you an educated fool, we're all the same people with equal rights under the law. Isn't it sad that you're referring to your classmates, schoolmates, co-workers, teammates, business partners, landlords, tenants and even roommates as foreigners? When are we going to grow in our minds in this country? Liberia will never progress with these kinds of hatreds in our hearts for others. Some comments under Karishma's post really got me thinking why we Liberians still think this negative of others when we are all the same. The Bible says "Love your neighbor as yourself" but sadly Liberians took the opposite of this verse.
You claim to be educated but don't even understand your own constitution and history, cause if you do, you won't be saying anything stupid about Muslims in this country because Islam was in this country before Christianity arrived. I'm not advocating for a holiday but asking you to respect others views and suggestions in handling issues. Love is one of the major tools for development of nation that we're missing out on in this country.

Lofa Night Celebrations
PRESS RELEASE.
Lofa County will on Tuesday March 14, 2023, stage the biggest festivity to commemorate the achievements of the county in the areas of athletics and culture.
It can be recorded that Lofa County during the 2022/2023 competitions in National County Meet and National Heritage achieved and won big awards and prizes.
Lofa finished as winners in Kickball, thereby retaining the Kickball crown. The county won second place in football and third place in Basketball. Lofa also won the National Heritage competition, making the county the overall winner in the competition.
It is in this backdrop that the Lofa County Authorities and the County Sports Steering Committee have decided not to allow these achievements to go by unnoticed.
Following series of meetings in Monrovia and Zorzor, the Planning committee under the leadership of Emmanuel Kortu has set March 14, 2023, for celebrations in Monrovia before moving to Lofa for three days of celebrations.
The ceremony dubbed “Lofa Night” takes place at the Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf Ministerial Complex in Congo Town beginning at 5pm. The Lofa Night which will be celebrated on the theme; “Celebrating Lofa Excellence” will honor and award several sons and daughters of the county who have played pivotal roles in ensuring that Lofa County became successful in the past year.
Several side attractions will enlighten the celebrations with Lofa County musicians, cultural artists and comedians lighting up the scene with various performances.
The Lofa Steering Committee headed by Momo Tarnue Cyrus is calling on all Lofians to grace the celebrations as the event is being planned to pay tributes to individuals who have greatly impacted Lofa to success in the sporting and cultural arenas.
The honorees will be presented plaques and certificates. The Lofa Night will be graced by several top officials of the county and government.

The manager tried to figure out how he could drive him away but couldn't come up with an idea, so he decided to give him a trial. He ordered his secretary to give him a glass of wine 🍷

He took a sip and said, "It's Red wine, Varietal, three years old, grown on rift valley, matured in steel containers."

"That's correct!" The manager exclaimed, "Well give him another one let's see." So he was given.

5 Months Old Baby Discovered Along Gbarnga-Ganta Highway

A five month old baby boy was on Thursday discovered in a nearby bush along the Gbarnga-Ganta Highway few miles away from Palala, Kpai District.

According to eyewitnesses, the baby was discovered by some market women who were in route to the Palala market to sell their locally produce.

According to our B**g County Correspondent, upon the discovery of the baby, he was immediately rushed to the Palala Health Center for observation.

To save the baby's life, medical practitioners at the Palala Health Center later forwarded the baby to Phebe Hospital for proper care.

Since he was taken to the hospital, no information has been received up to press time.

The mother of the baby is yet to be identified even though a preliminary check on the physical appearance of the baby states that there is no wounds on him.

The B**g County Detachment of the Liberia National Police has launched an investigation to establish how the baby got into the bush and who the parents are.
