There are many reasons why girls are not in school in Liberia. One of the main reasons is poverty. Many families cannot afford to send their children to school, and often girls are the ones who are kept out of school so that they can help with household chores or care for younger siblings. This means that girls are often not given the same educational opportunities as boys, and this can have a lasting impact on their lives. In addition, many girls face sexual harassment and violence on the way to and from school, which can make them feel unsafe and keep them from attending. Finally, many girls are married off at a young age.
