Amara Konneh Writes

President Joseph Boakai has appointed 15 Ministers to head Ministries including 2 ministers of state without portfolio. Lofa has 5 (29.4%), B**g has 4 (23.5%), Bassa, Bomi, and Nimba have 2 each (35.3%) while Cape Mount and Sinoe have one each (11.7%).

Lofa - MoCI, MoE, MoYS, MIA, MoSWP
B**g- MPW, MoA, MoSWP
Bomi- MFDP, MoT
Bassa- MoH, MICAT
Nimba- MoJ, MoD
Sinoe- MoS
Cape Mount- MFA

15 of 18 cabinet ministers (83.3% of cabinet positions) appointed from 7 of 15 counties (46.6% of counties).

With 3 cabinet ministerial appointments remaining (Mines and Energy, Labour and Post and Telecommunications), 8 counties (Gbarpolu, Montserrado, Margibi, Grand Kru, Rivercess, Grand Gedeh, Maryland, and Rivergee) are without Ministerial posts. He won Gbarpolu and Margibi in both rounds of the elections, and Montserrado in the runoff.

~ The President promised a Minister from each county. Clearly, this promise will not be fulfilled.

~Of the 15 Cabinet ministers appointed so far, there is only one Muslim, Mamaka Bility.

~ The Southeast which has six counties (Grand Gedeh, Sinoe, Maryland, Grand Kru, Rivergee, and Rivercess) has received only one Ministerial appointment.

~ Five counties (Lofa, B**g, Bassa, Nimba, and Bomi) account for 88.2% of all cabinet appointments so far.

Those of us who supported President Boakai must remind him of his promises quietly and publicly when it becomes necessary to help him deliver the promises he made when he campaigned for President. Change means change!

Thanks
Anthony M. Daniels, Sr.

AMD-TV/ CUFDOB LIBERIA: We’ve just received intel from our sources within the police detail at the SKD Complex tally center and the tally center in Nimba (Ganta & Sanniquellie). They brought strange police to replace them on shift tonight whom they do not know and as such cannot be actual police officers. Looks like they have a plan to steal or destroy ballots tonight since our strongholds of Montserrado and Nimba are being tallied between tonight and tomorrow. We must send out a public service announcement to alert to warn them so that they deviate from whatever plan they’ve hatched.

Breaking News!
ALP Political Leader Benoni Urey just convened a meeting requesting the Executive Committee to support George Manneh Weah in the upcoming elections.
Unfortunately, the majority of the executive members 17 voted to stay neutral while 10 voted to support Weah-CDC.
In a vote taken, Henry P. Costa and Telia Urey abstained from the voting process. From the look of things, Chairman Theodore Momo and three others who voted to go back to the Unity Party might be kicked out of the party.
Still following the details...
