Legendary Liberian Hipco rapper, Young Zee explains what broke him down in the Liberia Music Industry with all the back-to-back hit songs he released as he is about to drop a dope collaboration featuring L’ Driz.

“I regret signing a record deal with ‘Bilikon Ent’ that clashed my career because the label lacked of enough funds to push its artists musically and socially.

I was the Captain/head of ‘Bilikon Ent’ since 2015 to 2021 without benefiting financially with all the hard work I put in to bring the label to the spotlight.

I released 8 hit songs that when viral at that time in the country when JZyNo was a cha coal seller in the tranches.

The CEO of the record label “Lyee Bility” later terminate my contract because I requested for my royalties and wanted to leave and give space for new talents, I left the label without a house, cars, and having $20,000 in my account.

I cried in my room when I saw the same label manager/CEO hailing a new talent to sample my style of rapping to come to the spotlight to achieve what I should achieve long time ago.

Lyee Bility later called me to shout out things about his new artist sampling my style of rapping and even ask me to do a collaboration with his artist, in which I did and he rubbed me for the second time again with empty promises.

But I'm happy that the front names of the Liberian Music Industry still respect my legacy and I'm about to release a song with one of them that reveals what all I have been going through” ~ Young Zee
