The Liberia National Police - LNP under the leadership of its IG, Col. Coleman has embarked on a good footing. This initiative is timely as it is intended for street crime and traffic violation reduction.
This is the kind of government we envisage and that is the reason why we did not just vote but also campaigned to bring the rescue mission to prominence. Only the instigator hates development!

President Boakai Mandates All Government Officials To Declare Assets; Vows Anti-Corruption Measures as He Commissions Government Officials!!!!

Capitol Hill, Monrovia:
Liberian President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has commissioned the first batch of government officials, setting forth a clear agenda for integrity, accountability, and national development.

Article 54 of the 1986 Liberian Constitution gives power to the President to nominate and with the consent of the Senate appoint, and commission cabinet ministers and other key officials of the Liberian Government.

The Liberian Chief Executive mandated all government officials to declare their assets as a way of measures in combating corruption and upholding the principles of integrity in public service.

"I do not want corruption in my government and there will not be a room for impunity or mismanagement. We must strive to build a country of integrity, where the interests of the people are paramount", President Boakai declared.

President Boakai reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to transparency and good governance during the commissioning ceremony on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the Executive Mansion on Capitol Hill in Monrovia, Liberia.

Emphasizing the importance of accountability, President Boakai pledged to closely monitor the performance of all government officials and hold them accountable for their actions.

He emphasized that public service is not an entitlement but a call to work diligently for positive results, urging officials to prioritize the public good over personal gains.

"In my government, there will be no room for corruption. Those who seek to enrich themselves at the expense of the people will face consequences; if you want to be rich then go in the private sector, not the government because in this government it is all about service”, President Boakai asserted.

He further called for unity and collaboration among all Liberians, revealing the need to create an enabling environment for inv

Drugs Worth Millions Busted By LDEA - Col. Kromah Vows To Escalate The War Against Dealers

In less than a month following the confirmation of Unit 700, Col. Abee Kromah as head of the Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA), drugs worth millions of Liberian dollars in street value have been arrested under the watch of Col. Kromah and his crack team at the compound of a notorious Nigerian drug baron street name “Japan”, in Seyon Town, Monrovia, Liberia.

Amped with effective monitoring, surveillance and intelligence, the tactical response unit of the agency were whistled to action following tipped off leading to the raiding of the compound and subsequent arrest of many suspects from the compound.

During the operation a court search warrant was obtained from the Magisterial court in Point Four with the Court Sherifs on hand leading to search and seizure operation yielding the desired results.

With the media and community dwellers in plain view, a huge consignment of drugs including “Cocaine, Kush and ma*****na among others “, were confiscated worth millions. They also confiscated huge cash of Liberian dollars during the operation.

According to LDEA investigators, the compound was a major factory in the production of cheap dangerous drugs circulating on the market negatively destroying our young people in Liberia. This is a significant miles stone in President Boakai’s fight in mitigating drugs use and prevention in Liberia.

Meanwhile, Col. Kromah has vowed to prosecute the suspects to the fullest which will serve as a deterrent to others that indeed, President Boakai is committed in his articulated vision of combatting the tragedy in Liberia.

H.E. President Boakai Meets AFL Women, Calls For Calm, Promises A Low-key Armed Forces Day Celebration

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2024

The President of the Republic of Liberia has today met at his Rehab Office with Wives of the Armed Forces of Liberia to hear their grievances.

The women highlighted challenges they are currently experiencing at the Edward Beyan Kesselly Barracks in Schieffelin. These include retirement benefits, low salary, corruption, lack of adequate insurance, education, poor housing, lack of electricity, social services, and their general welfare. They stated these challenges have lingered on too long enough without redress as the military leadership have remained indifferent.

For his part, the Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr. reassured the women that their grievances would be thoroughly investigated with a view to finding redress where possible. He would constitute a committee to probe into the matter and provide report in a week time. In the interim, the Liberia Electricity Corporation has restored electricity at the EBK Barrack, upon the orders of the Commander-In-Chief. The President has also declared the Linda Thomas Greenfield School at the EBK Barracks tuition free.

It is noted that the President has been in office for 20 days only and he has taken immediate steps already to address some of these issues which have been festering for more than five years. He has asked the women to give him some time to investigate their issues and advised everyone to remain calm and peaceful as the government seeks to address their concerns.

Liberia's Attorney General Designate Expected To Attend His Confirmation Hearing This Week.

In a recent development, credible sources within the Liberian Senate have confirmed that the Executive branch of government, led by President Joseph Nyumah Boakai Sr., has dispatched Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah's nomination letter to the Liberian Senate for discussion in the plenary. This action sets the stage for his confirmation hearing, which is anticipated to occur this week.

President Joseph Nyumah Boakai Sr., who recently nominated Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah Sr. for the esteemed position of Attorney General/Justice Minister of Liberia, pending confirmation by the Liberian Senate, faced political hurdles that led to a delay in submitting the nomination letter to the Senate.

In light of these developments, we, the friends and supporters of Cllr. Kruah, urge calm and continued support from the public and the Liberian people, who are eagerly awaiting the confirmation of the Liberia's Attorney General designate.

Furthermore, it is emphasized that all necessary processes lead to the confirmation of Justice Minister-designate Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah Sr. is progressing as planned. A spokesperson for Cllr. Kruah's supporters stated, "We want to assure the general public that the Liberia Justice Minister-designate is expected to be scheduled by the Liberian Senate this week to begin his confirmation hearing."

The nomination of Cllr. Cooper W. Kruah Sr. holds significant importance for President Joseph Nyumah Boakai, underscoring his government's commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring effective governance. President Boakai emphasizes that a stable and functioning justice system is imperative for the progress and prosperity of the nation.
