PRESS statement
*The NEC has released the 2023 Elections Schedule which includes the following KEY dates for voters*:
1. ๐๐ฎ๐๐ป๐ฐ๐ต ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฉ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฉ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป: October 7, 2022
-This is so people get information on the voter registration process.
2. ๐ฃ๐๐ฏ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฉ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐: October 23, 2022 to January 26, 2023
-This is so voters know in advance the locations of where to register within their districts. Where you register will be the same place you have to go back to vote.
3. ๐ฉ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฃ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ผ๐ฑ:
December 15, 2022 to January 6, 2023

-You will need to provide photo ID to prove you are a Liberian. The NEC also determines the acceptable types of IDs, among which are Birth Certificate, Passport, and National ID Card. Remember to keep your voter registration card in a safe place until election day!
4. ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ข๐ฏ๐ท๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ & ๐๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น๐: December 15, 2022 to March 24, 2023
-This is a change to register any complaint to NEC about the registration process.

-This is so voters have the chance to make sure their name is listed on the voters registration roll. The Roll will be posted at all voter registration centers during this period. Make sure you check the Roll for your name. Take a picture of the Roll and your name and keep it just in case you have problems on election day.
