LICOSESS Graduates over 43 Students from its C, Certificate & AA degree program in B**g

The LICOSESS Mobile Teacher Training College in Gbarnga at weekend graduated and certificated over 43 Students from its C, & AA degree programs in B**g County.
Presenting the Graduates on behalf of the Colleges Administration Mr. Emery Jersey, the Dean of Student Affairs at the Liberia Cooperative Standard Education School System, asserted that students who were awarded C &AA degrees in the distinct academic disciplines are students who have been academically examined and have satisfactorily gone through the ranks and files of the College's academic activities.
The Liberia Cooperative Standard Education School System was established by a group of professional Liberian Teachers and administrators on November 4, 1994.
At the graduation ceremony, 23 Students obtained C" Certificate in General Education while 20 Students received AA" Degrees in school Administration, General Science, and Mathematics respectively.
Remarking at the occasion, Dr. Benjamin Whyee Sr., the President of the College explained that LICOSESS since its formation in Liberia has trained over 15000 Classroom Teachers in Early Childhood and Primary Education across the Country.
According to Dr. Whyee, the Educational facility's main aim is to prepare teachers for C, B, and AA Certificates and at the same time operate to offer pedagogical knowledge and skills for Teachers in both Primary &Secondary School levels in Liberia.
Meanwhile, Guest Speaking at the institution's 7th C" Certificate & 5th Associate of Arts Degree Commencement Convocation Rev. John T. Nyewan encouraged the Graduates to use the Classroom to rewrite the future of the new generation, adding that teachers are decent People, as such then it's necessary for the National Government to stimulate the well-being of Liberian Teachers.
“Rev. Nyewan, however, the guest spoke on the theme the Importance of Quality Early Childhood Education”.
The Preacher believes that if Liberian Teachers are rightfully Carter, will meaningfully contribute to the growth and development of a new Liberia.
He asserted that it’s significant for the National Government through the Ministry of Education to introduce the building of Teachers' quarters for Liberians Teachers across the Country.
He said that teachers need better lives because they are instrumental in the distribution of knowledge to school-going Kids thereby describing Education as the queen of all professions in the world.
LICOSESS National office is located in Paynesville Kissi Camp community on the GSA Road is therefore preparing in-service and pre-service teacher trainees in Pleebo, Maryland, Liberia Agricultural Company, Grand Bassa, B**g Mines, B**g County, Suakoko, B**g County, Caldwell, Montserrado County, Old road, Montserrado County, Unification Town, Margibi County, Barclayville, Grand Kru County, Greenville, Sinoe County, Gbarpolu County, and Ganta, Nimba County.
For his part, the Valedictorian of the Graduating Class Mr. Jenkins G. Guntuah cautions his fellow friends to use the classroom to make the difference.
