Business management and acceleration training

The Dense Training and Research Centre (DTRC) of Dense Services concludes a two intensive business management and acceleration training for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) owners and youth with potentially viable business ideas.

Besides the two days training that just ended, Dense Services has regular training sessions that go for one, two to three weeks and even 8 weeks. It also offers customized training packages for businesses, civil society organizations, grassroots movements and women organizations, students advocacy group, faith based organizations, community based organizations amongst others.

This year, Dense Services is introducing online training for people who are unable to attend the on-site in-person training.

Dense Services is a management consulting and business development service provider. It is heavily involved in strengthening the productive capacity and improves market access for Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise (MSMEs) to support employment, income and wealth creation. Dense Services provides incubation support including mentorship, coaching and networking to businesses, associations, social enterprises such as CSOs/CBOs etc.

Also, Dense Services provides micro-financial assistance and matchmaking events that link entrepreneurs with potential investors and promote citizen's engagement to alleviate poverty. It supports inclusive economies and sustainable business systems and ensure MSMEs grow and thrive. Dense Services focuses on capacity building, finance, markets and policy engagement.

Service offering
Enterprise Development Training
Dense Services runs an Entrepreneurship Academy that serves as an enterprise development centre. The Academy focuses on entrepreneurship education and business development and management including supporting technical institutions (i.e. private and public business development service providers) to deliver differentiated skills development and training based on skills levels and knowledge. The Academy also develops inclusive financial systems that recognise both the market potential and the development opportunities of MSMEs.

Institutional and workforce development training
Through the Dense Training and Research Centre, Dense Services provides continuous professional development and institutional capacity training. It adopts various modular training and offer refresher and job-readiness courses, internship, mentorship and post-training support.

Dense training programme addresses key labour market gaps such as knowledge and skills including organisational issues such as poor quality, performance, inconsistent production cycles, and low commitment levels.

CSOs Engagement and Support
Dense Services builds functional linkages between public, private and civil society organisations to ensure a democratic space that enhances development that improves the quality of life and standard of living of the local population. It has established and currently manage a consortium of civil society organisations made up of more than 12 different CSOs/CBOs including business associations supporting development programmes in Liberia.

Enterprise Development Fund
Dense Services runs a Startup Revolving Fund that targets business start-ups, women and youth-led MSMEs. The Fund provides grants for innovations and loans to support enterprise development. This initiative adopts a three pronged financing mechanism that supports the following: (i). New business start- ups with potentials to create employment opportunities; (ii). Competitive grants for innovative projects in different sectors such as agroforestry, horticulture, technology, tourism, miming, energy and other services sectors; (iii). Small grants through micro finance institutions, to support market access, product diversification and increased productivity.

DEA provides entrepreneurship education and business development service including supporting the establishment of women and youth-led micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. DEA offers the following refreshercourses:
