"Rushanthan, a talented artist in animation and VFX from Sri Lanka is a self-made professional with a sterling and outshining reputation and success. Being a great translator of ideas, his mastery of VFX, animation, and creativity brings life and emotions to them.

Rushanthan’s journey to what he is now wasn’t easy. He dropped out of school as he lost his father to cancer while doing biological science at G.C.E. Advanced Level. He never stopped and instead built himself through every struggle he encountered.

His father’s loss affected him greatly pushing him into poverty to the extent that he and his family had to starve on certain days. As the eldest child, all the responsibilities of his father were on his shoulders making him the surrogate father of his family where he had to start his professional journey in a printing press to financially support his mother and siblings.

His professional finesse has been self-learned since he was 12, and it all started with the amusement of how graphics in Hollywood movies are made so realistic. The first acknowledgment was given for his short film which was entirely shot using a mobile phone grabbing the 1st position in the Vavuniya district. Also, after being recognized on Instagram for his creative animations, he had the chance to work with Malaysian photographers on the Kamachi Still Photography Story project in which as a compliment he received a fully funded 2 months vacation in Malaysia.

Specific techniques in his works have been his innovation of being an autodidact and his prowess in VFX and animation evolves daily, producing enthralling new projects, giving life to ideas through animations making them realistic. Being a state-of-the-art producer he will be able to break into Hollywood which will be celebrated as his lifetime achievement."
