The end of Doom Storm Present Valorant Cup Season 1! 🧡🏆🧡

We started the registrations for the "Doom Storm Present Valorant Cup Season 1" tournament from November 18, 2022. When we closed the registration on December 09, 2022 at 11:59 pm, 96 players under 16 teams registered for our tournament. With the experience of organizing two highly successful Apex Legends tournaments, we chose Valorant for our tournament this time without any financial sponsorship. Because of our desire to take our name as a brand to other games and our eagerness to contribute in a small way to improve PC gaming which is slowly going down in Sri Lanka.

The tournament which was held for 9 days, we as the organizing committee, had to go through very successful days and some challenging days where small problems arose. Before talking about that, there is a group of people who helped organize a tournament in Valorant, who are very close to the organizing committee, and We will remind them.

First of all, thanks to our friends in the Valorant community who have been helping us with things we didn't know from the beginning. Next, we invited PikaBoo, Godlyystreams and one of our brother clan Yakuza Esports's main Valorant streamer Chocoman Streaming, who joined the tournament as commentators. And to the every brother team/clan of Sri Lanka who participated in the tournament by trusting our little name. Without them we would not have been able to do this at this level.

Now let's come to some of the problems mentioned above, first of all, due to the unfamiliarity of the organizing committee to Valorant, we made some small mistakes in planning the tournament. We humbly accepted them and thought of adding them to this article. The biggest problem was the shortcomings in the legislation of the tournament. Therefore, due to a problem that occurred on the day of the match between "Xalted Demons" and "Misunderstood Gamers" in the semi-final round, we had to walk over one match, "Xalted Demons" won the second match between them by 12-14 rounds. Therefore "Xalted Demons" won 2 out of 3 matches and qualified for the finals. Those who watched our live stream must have understood the incident. "Misunderstood Gamers" asked us to tell the full story about the incident in a post to the Valorant Community in Sri Lanka.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our regret to "Misunderstood Gamers",

Due to the shortcomings in the legislation of the tournament. The decision we made in the semifinals added a disadvantage to the team "Misunderstood Gamers". Later we realized that there were many flaws in the legislation leading to this decision. We apologize for the inconvenience our decision may have caused your team.

Also if any team that participated in the competition had to face any inconvenience as it happened due to our lack of experience and attempt to do our first Valorant tournament. We are a group of people who want to deal with all groups in Sri Lanka in a brotherly manner, and remind you that we have no personal grudge against any group. We believe that the trust you have placed in us before will remain the same in future events.

So once again, sorry for the problematic events that happened, thank you and highly appreciate each and every one who support throughout this amazing journey.
