The farewell of Rev. Sr. Srimali Gonagala, Rev. Sr. Enoka Wickramasinghe and Mrs. Jacintha Aththachchi was a heartfelt occasion where students and teachers came together to honor and celebrate the impact that they have made. Rev. Sr. Srimali Gonagala the Deputy Principal of primary section have made a great impact on the students by leading them. As teachers, Rev. Sr. Enoka Wickramasinghe and Mrs. Jacintha Aththachchi have influenced the primary students with their love, knowledge and kindness. They have not only imparted guidance but also inspired, encouraged, and shaped the young minds.

The Requiem Mass to celebrate the vibrant life and mourn the unexpected passing of our beloved Rev. Bro. Luis Carlos Gutiérrez. The mass was held on Monday, January 6th at the College Chapel. This special mass was conducted to respect his unwavering faith, kindness, and dedication to serving others touched countless lives, leaving a legacy of love and inspiration. Though his time with us was brief, his spirit will forever live on in our hearts. May he rest in God’s eternal peace.

We are proud to announce that Mas. W. A. Madushanka Fernando has showcased his Maris colours vibrantly in the boxing ring during the All Island Youth Boxing Tournament 2024.

Our talented lad emerged as the Gold Medal Winner in the 63.5 - 67 weight category and making our Alma Mater proud

All of this was possible because of the hard work, commitment & sacrifice of our athlete, shedding his blood sweat & tears in the boxing ring to achive glory.

Special thanks goes to Rev.Bro.Sunanda Alwis, principal of Maris Stella College Negombo, Mr. D. A. T. S. Dunusinghe, the coach & Mr. Sumedha Appuhamy, the Master in-charge of boxing in our College.

"Nodem Lucis", the annual carol service organized by the St. Marcellin's Choir of Maris Stella College Negombo was held yesterday at the college Gymnasium. His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Maxwell Silva was present as the chief guest of this evening. The purpose of it was to spread the love and joy this festive season among everyone and to give a reminder that this is the season of sharing together with one another.

The Educational Media Unit of our college showcased their brand new production "The Invisible Boy" at the Agenda 14 Short Film Festival.

Agenda 14 is an open Short film festival, where out of multiple entries around Sri Lanka, only 40 films are selected to be screened.

Mas. Hamzah Faleel, the Director of "The Invisible Boy" was nominated and won the award for the Most Promising Filmmaker.

Special thanks go out to the master in charge, Mr. Muditha Jayasooriya. and Mas. Nimesh De-silva, Mas.Lakshan Dewithilina and Mas. Senuk Dewsath. For being the producer, Asst.Director, and the Editor respectively. Also, one last thanks to all the students in the Educational Media Unit, for all the tremendous support on this project
