"Chaiwala Colombo" a small food truck down Marine Drive has been the talk of the town as of late. Serving spice-infused tea, better known as Chai, "Chaiwala Colombo" is the latest example to be added to the list of successful entrepreneurial ventures in the face of the pandemic.
All the founding members from different backgrounds, having no experience in the food industry redefined the flavour of Chai in Sri Lanka. Coming up with a fine tuned recipe and spicing those flavors of tea with a few savouries including a fish bun, fish rotti, cake rusk and spicy cupcake is what makes them unique.
The joy of dipping the cake rusk into the tea and enjoying the spectacular view of the beach makes Chaiwala for what its worth for.
Here's our take and a show of gratitude to Chaiwala for bringing this idea to reality and this documentary "CHAI ON BOARD" has the story to the unanswered question of many as to "How did they start this and what is the success behind Chaiwala Colombo"
In a message to the upcoming entrepreneurs Mr.Fareed the pilot turned Chaiwala says that "Nothing is impossible when you think out of the box and nothing beats hardwork with the right team and right decisions"
