ඩිජිටල් හැනුම්පත සම්බන්ධයෙන් වන SLUDI ව්‍යාපෘතිය පිළිබඳව දැනුවත් කිරීමේ වැඩසටහන
ඩිජිටල් ආර්ථික අමාත්‍යංශය විසින් ශ්රී ලංකා ඩිජිටල් හැනුම්පත් ව්‍යාපෘතිය (SLUDI) පිළිබඳ දැනුවත් කිරීමේ වැඩසටහනක් ගරු ඩිජිටල් ආර්ථික නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය එරංග වීරරත්න මැතිතුමාගේ ප්රධානත්වයෙන් අද සවස ICTA පරිශ්රයේදී පැවැත්විණ.
ශ්රී ලංකාවේ ඩිජිටල්කරණ න්‍යාය පත‍්‍රය මෙහෙයවීමේ සහයෝගී ප‍්‍රයත්නයක වැදගත්කම අවධාරනය කරමින් ක්ෂේත‍්‍රයේ ප‍්‍රවීණයන් කිහිප දෙනෙකුගේ සම්පත් දායකත්වයෙන් මෙම වැඩසටහන පැවැත්විණ. අතිගරු ජනාධිපතිතුමාගේ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ උපදේශක සහ ICTA හි සභාපති ආචාර්ය හාන්ස් විජයසූරිය, ඩිජිටල් ආර්ථික අමාත්‍යාංශයේ වැඩබලන ලේකම් වරුණ ශ්රී ධනපාල මහතා, පුද්ගලයින් ලියාපදිංචි කිරීමේ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ වැඩබලන කොමසාරිස් ජනරාල් මලිකා සූරියප්පෙරුම මහත්මිය, ශ්රී ලංකා CERT ආයතනයේ සභාපති තිලක් පතිරගේ මහතා සහ දත්ත ආරක්ෂණ අධිකාරියේ (DPA) අධ්‍යක්ෂ මණ්ඩල අධ්‍යක්ෂ සහ නීති කමිටුවේ ප‍්‍රධානී ජයන්ත ප්රනාන්දු මහතා යන අය ඔවුන්ගේ බුද්ධිමය දායකත්වය මේ සඳහා එක් කළේය.
ක්ෂේත‍්‍රයේ ප‍්‍රවීණයින් අමතමින් ගරු ඩිජිටල් ආර්ථික නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යතුමන් ප්රකාශ කළේ ශ්රී ලංකාවේ අනාගත සංවර්ධනය මෙහෙයවීම සඳහා අතිගරු ජනාධිපතිතුමා ඉදිරිපත් කර ඇති ප‍්‍රමුඛතා තුනෙන් ප‍්‍රධානම කරුණ ඩිජිටල්කරණය බවයි.
එසේම පිරිස අමතමින් නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරයා ඩිජිටල් හැඳුනුම්පත් පද්ධතියේ ප‍්‍රධාන භූමිකාව සම්බන්ධයෙන් අදහස් දැක්වූ අතර එය ශ්රී ලංකාවේ ඩිජිටල්කරණ සැලැස්මේ පළමු පියවර බව අවධාරණය කළේය. මෙම මුලපිරීම මඟින් පුරවැසියන් අනන්‍ය ලෙස හඳුනා ගැනීම, ඩිජිටල් සේවාවන් අනිසි ලෙස භාවිතා කිරීම වැළැක්වීම සහ වංචනික ක‍්‍රියාකාරකම් තුරන් කිරීම සිදුවන බවත් ඔහු පෙන්වා දුන්නේය. 2012 වසරේ සිට ඩිජිටල් හැඳුනුම්පත් පිළිබඳ සාකච්ඡා පැවැත්වුවත් එය සාර්ථකව ක්රියාත්මක කිරීම සහතික කරමින් වචනවලින් ඔබ්බට ගිය සක‍්‍රීය වැඩපිළිවලක් ක්රියාවට නැංවීමට කැපවී සිටින බවත් නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරයා ප්රකාශ කළේය.
ඩිජිටල් ගෙවීම්, ඩිජිටල් වෙළඳාම සහ විධිමත් සේවා බෙදාහැරීම ඇතුළුව තීරණාත්මක යටිතල පහසුකම් ගොඩනැගීම සඳහා ඩිජිටල් හැඳුනුම්පත ප‍්‍රධාන කාර්යයක් සිදුකරන බවත්. ඩිජිටල් හැඳුනුම්පත්වල ප්රතිලාභ අවබෝධ කර ගනිමින් සහ මෙම ආරම්භය සාර්ථක කරගැනීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය ප‍්‍රතිපෝෂණ ලබා දීමෙන් මෙම ඩිජිටල් පරිවර්තනයට දායක වන ලෙස නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරයා සියලූම පුරවැසියන්ගෙන් සහ කර්මාන්ත පාර්ශවකරුවන්ගෙන් විවෘත ආරාධනයක් සිදු කළේය.
𝐒𝐋𝐔𝐃𝐈 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐫𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐚.
Ministry of Digital Economy organized a high-profile briefing awareness program on the Sri Lanka Unique Digital Identity project at ICTA premises this evening to bring together top policy-makers, industry leaders, ICT societies (CSSL, SLASSOM, BCS, FITIS) and other key stakeholders in order to present key developments that bear on the country's digital transformation.
The program was graced by the Honorable Deputy Minister of Digital Economy, Mr. Eranga Weeraratne, and featured the participation of numerous experts in the field. Several dignitaries and experts in appreciation of the fact that driving Sri Lanka's digitalization agenda requires an effort from all quarters. Others present at the gathering included Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya, Senior Advisor to His Excellency the President and Chairman of ICTA; Mr. Waruna Sri Dhanapala, (Acting Secretary) to the Ministry of Digital Economy; Mrs. Malika Sooriyapperuma, Acting Commissioner General of the Department of Registration of Persons; Mr. Thilak Pathirage, Chairman of Sri Lanka CERT; and Mr. Jayantha Fernando, Board Director and Head of the Legal Committee at the Data Protection Authority. Their insights and contributions added depth to the discussions aimed at laying a robust and inclusive digital transformation framework. The Honorable Deputy Minister of Digital Economy pointed out that the future development of Sri Lanka will be anchored on digitalization, which stands at the centre of His Excellency the President's top three priorities for his term in office.
At the occasion, the Deputy Minister said, "The Digital ID System is the very foundational cornerstone in the digitalization architecture of Sri Lanka; as such, it ensures unique identification to avoid misuse of digital services and fraudulent activities by citizens." Discussions are ongoing since 2012, but this government is committed to going from words into No action by ensuring its successful implementation.
The Digital ID platform will, therefore, act as a backbone in building critical infrastructures such as digital payments, digital trade, and efficient service distribution. The Deputy Minister called on all citizens and industry stakeholders to be part of this journey through understanding the benefits accruing from digital IDs and providing feedback for refinement of this initiative. The Deputy Minister remarked that this is not just a government-led project; this is a national initiative critical to the country’s progress, urging participants to speak positively about the program and help raise awareness.
The session concluded with an open forum, where attendees were encouraged to ask questions and voice concerns, reinforcing the government's commitment to transparency and collaboration in shaping Sri Lanka's digital future.
