Starlink චන්ද්‍රිකා අන්තර්ජාල සේවාව මෙම මස ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ දියත් කෙරේ.

Starlink චන්ද්‍රිකා සේවාව මේ මාසයේ සිට ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ මෙහෙයුම් ආරම්භ කරන බව ශ්‍රී ලංකා විදුලි සංදේශ නියාමන කොමිෂන් සභාව (TRCSL) නිල වශයෙන් නිවේදනය කළේය.

අද (2) දින මාධ්‍ය වෙත ප්‍රකාශයක් කරමින්, TRCSL අධ්‍යක්ෂ ජෙනරාල් විශ්‍රාමික එයාර් වයිස් මාර්ෂල් බන්දුල හේරත් මහතා ප්‍රකාශ කළේ, සේවා ගුණාත්මකභාවය සහ පිරිවිතරයන් තක්සේරු කිරීම සඳහා සිදු කරන ලද සාර්ථක තාක්ෂණික ක්ෂේත්‍ර අත්හදා බැලීමකින් පසුව, රට තුළ Starlink උපකරණ යෙදවීම සඳහා කොමිසම මූලික අනුමැතිය ලබා දී ඇති බවයි.

මෙය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ඩිජිටල් පරිවර්තන ගමනේ සැලකිය යුතු සන්ධිස්ථානයක් සනිටුහන් කරන අතර අධිවේගී චන්ද්‍රිකා සේවාව හඳුන්වාදීම මඟින් දිවයින පුරා පුළුල් සම්බන්ධතාවයක් සක්‍රීය කරනු ඇත, විශේෂයෙන් දුරස්ථ සහ ඌන සේවා ප්‍රදේශවලට ප්‍රතිලාභ සැලසෙනු ඇත. ඩිජිටල් ආර්ථික අමාත්‍යාංශයේ සියලු දෙනා ආවරණයවන්නා වූ සහ ඔරොත්තු දෙන ඩිජිටල් වර්ධනයක් සඳහා වන දැක්මට අනුකූලව ජාතික ඩිජිටල්කරණ උත්සාහයන් වේගවත් කිරීම සහ අන්තර්ජාල යටිතල පහසුකම් ශක්තිමත් කිරීම සඳහා මෙම සේවාව ප්‍රධාන කාර්යභාරයක් ඉටු කරනු ඇතැයි අපේක්ෂා කෙරේ.

ඩිජිටල් පරතරය පියවා ගැනීම, පුරවැසියන් සහ ව්‍යාපාර සවිබල ගැන්වීම සඳහා මෙම සේවාවේ ආරම්භය විශාල කාර්‍යක් කරනු ඇත.

Starlink Satellite Internet Service to Launch in Sri Lanka This Month

The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) has officially announced that Starlink will commence operations in Sri Lanka starting this month.

In a statement to the media on July 2nd, TRCSL Director General, Retired Air Vice Marshal Bandula Herath, confirmed that the Commission has granted initial approval for the deployment of Starlink equipment in the country, following a successful technical field trial conducted to assess service quality and specifications.
This development marks a significant milestone in Sri Lanka’s digital transformation journey.

The introduction of high-speed satellite broadband will enable broader connectivity across the island, particularly benefiting remote and underserved regions. It is expected to play a key role in accelerating national digitalization efforts and strengthening internet infrastructure in line with the Ministry of Digital Economy’s vision for inclusive and resilient digital growth.

The Ministry welcomes this initiative as a powerful step toward bridging the digital divide and empowering citizens and businesses through next-generation connectivity.

ඩිජිටල් ආර්ථික අමාත්‍යාංශය විසින් සම-සත්කාරකත්වය දරන " AI යුගයේ පුද්ගලයින් සහ හැකියාවන්" යන තේමාව යටතේ මෙරට UNDP ආයතනය විසින් සංවිධානය කරන ලද 2025 මානව සංවර්ධන වාර්තාව එළිදැක්වීමේ අවස්ථාවට සහභාගීවීමට මට අවස්ථාව හිමිවිය.

ශ්‍රී ලංකාව වේගයෙන් විකාශනය වන ඩිජිටල් යුගයක් කරා ගමන් කරන විට, මෙම වාර්තාව කාලෝචිත එළිදැක්වීමකි. AI බලගැන්වීම හෝ බැහැර කිරීම අපට තීරණය කළ හැකි නමුත් අපි රටක් වශයෙන් තෝරාගත යුත්තේ බලගැන්වීමයි.
