Since 2014, Google has opted to give Chrome's logo a makeover for the first time. The Chrome logo has been simplified to meet Google's "modern brand attitude." Here's a rundown of the modifications Google has made.
In the Canary release, users will notice the redesigned Google Chrome logo. While Google is preserving the four-color circle logo and the flat design unveiled in 2011, it opts for brighter colors, refined proportions, and no shadows.
The new Google Chrome logo will also include OS-specific tweaks for a more personal experience on macOS, Windows, or Chrome OS while maintaining the iconic Google Chrome style.
Google Chrome for Windows, for example, will get a more "graduated look," Chrome OS will have brighter colors without the gradient look, and macOS will have a 3D Chrome logo. Furthermore, the beta app's logo for iOS resembles the TestFlight app's blueprint design.
There are a few more minor adjustments to be made. The blue circle in the center, for example, appears larger, and the "green" has a gradient aspect, which avoids the "unpleasant color vibration" that currently exists when red meets green. While the modifications to Chrome's logo are too significant to be liked or despised, the customization option feels noticeable and appealing!
With the imminent release of Chrome 100, the new Google Chrome logo will be available to users across all devices. As a result, keep an eye out for the new updated logo, and don't forget to share your thoughts on the change in the comments section below.
