இந்த ஓட்டம் ஆரம்பித்து சுமார் 10 ஆண்டுகள் வரை இருக்கும்..... எமது படைப்புக்கள் வெகுஜன சினிமாவோடு சேர்ந்து தரமானதும் தனித்துவமானதுமாக மிளிர வேண்டும் என்பதே நோக்கம்! ஒவ்வொரு படைப்பின் ஆரம்பத்திலும் "ஏன்" அதை செய்யப்போகின்றோம் என்பதை உறுதிப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளவது எமது வழக்கம், அவ்வாறு Salted Popcorn ஆனது "முறையான Sri Lankan industry professionals இடம் சேர்ந்து அவர்கள் நம்மை அங்கீகரிக்க வேண்டும்" என்பதாகத்தான் இருந்தது. நேற்று Salted Popcorn அதன் இலக்கை அடைந்தது என்றே சொல்லவேண்டும்.
ஒரு நல்ல சினிவாவிற்கு அதுவே விளம்பரம்! Goethe Institut Sri Lanka மூலம் ஒழுங்கு செய்யப்பட்ட நேற்றைய சிறப்பு காட்சியில் இலங்கை சினிமா மற்றும் ஊடக பிரபலங்கள் வந்து கலந்துகொண்டு சிறப்பித்ததோடு மட்டுமல்லாமல் மொழி பேதமின்றி அதனை பாராட்டியும் இருந்தார்கள். 3 வருட எமது காத்திருப்பு நிறைவேற ஆரம்பித்திருக்கிறது..... நேற்றைய சிறப்பு காட்சியை ஒழுங்கு செய்த Anoma Rajakaruna அம்மணிக்கு சிரம் தாழ்ந்த நன்றிகள்! விரைவில் மட்டக்களப்பிலும், கொழும்பிலும், யாழ்ப்பாணத்திலும் அதனை தொடர்ந்து ஏனைய இடங்களிலும் மேலும் சில காட்சிகளை மேற்கொள்ள எண்ணியுளோம்.
