“Battle of Green”💚🏏

“Agri Premier League” where the spirit of Cricket unfolded on the university grounds. The cricket match, which was organized by the Faculty of Agriculture of University of Peradeniya was held on 4th and 5th of May 2024 in a spectacular manner with the participation of all the cricket enthusiasts. The match was undoubtedly a celebration which showcased the strength and pride of the faculty while strengthening the friendships and bonds of everyone.

බිම්තැන්නේ අවුරුදු 2024🌞

At the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, celebrating Sinhala and Tamil New Year was a vibrant affair that brought together students from diverse backgrounds. The faculty buzzed with excitement as students partook in traditional rituals and preparing festive meals. Students organized colourful events featuring traditional dances, music performances and culinary delights. Students eagerly participated in games and competitions that highlighted the spirit of camaraderie and unity. Overall, the faculty became a lively hub of cultural exchange and celebration, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual respect among students of all backgrounds.

We would like to congratulate the new Sundara Belihuloya Media executive committee members from the bottom of our hearts! We are overjoyed that such gifted and committed people are assuming these significant responsibilities inside our crew.

We have an obligation to highlight the finest aspects of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka and our community as the official media crew. We are confident that the new members of the executive committee will energize, inspire, and provide new ideas to our group as we work toward our objectives.

“FOT Volleyball Fiesta”🏐🏆

The volleyball fiesta, which was filled with the energy and team spirit of the brotherhood of Faculty of Technology was indeed a fantastic day to remember for everyone who joined. The event was organized by the students to uplift the brotherhood and sports skills of the students. Everyone was enjoyed the day and gained more memories for life.

The Erabadu flowers started to bloom in the premises of Faculty of Geomatics as they celebrated the Sinhala and Tamil New Year in a joyful manner. The brotherhood of the Faculty of Geomatics celebrated their Sinhala and Tamil New Year on 28th of April 2024. The celebration was filled with fun games, and became a good bonding session which will last for years to come.

Where sky meets earth ✨

Views of far-off planets and constellations glittered through telescopic lenses, exciting those who attended the stargazing event. Enthusiastic stargazers gathered around powerful telescopes, whispering to each other in awe as they studied the universe. PROJECT EXPLORATION IN SAMANALAWEWA 🏞️⛰️

The association of geography department of geography & environmental management, Faculty of social sciences and languages at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka embarked on a project exploration in Samanalawewa. The endeavor aimed to delve into the geographical and environmental aspects of the region, fostering a deeper understanding of its natural landscape, resources and ecological significance. Through fieldwork, research, and collaborative efforts, the project sought to contribute valuable insights and promote sustainable practices for the conservation and management of Samanalawewa's ecosystem.

දියවර සිහිනය🌊🩵

“දියවර සිහිනය” was the concluding ceremony of the “Pirihibini Diyawara” which hold for a whole month with the combination of artistic expression of the university students. The music of young blood, and the heartfelt songs of the invited artists made the audience’s eyes sparkle with joy. The cheerful audience’s echoes and the music synchronized well enough to make the crowd remember that moment.

In the inter-university debate tournament held in conjunction with Pirhimbini Diyawara In the highly anticipated grand finale of the Inter-University Debating Tournament, the University of Moratuwa squared off against Sri Lanka Law School in a battle of intellect and rhetoric. As the competition unfolded, Sri Lanka Law College emerged triumphant, securing the championship title with their compelling arguments and eloquent delivery. Meanwhile, University of Moratuwa demonstrated remarkable skill and determination, earning the runner-up position in a showcase of academic excellence and spirited debate.

ඉරිමාව was a compelling combination of songs, dramas, and danc that highlighted the amazing creative imagination and talent of 1st year students. A celebration of young artistic expression, the program featured everything from dramatic theatrical displays and energetic moves to heartbreaking musical performances. The performers' passion and expertise captivated the audience, creating an outstanding entertainment experience.

රංගයාත 🎭

The audience was gripped from the beginning to the end by the plays' emotional rollercoaster, which skillfully combined heartbreaking tragedies and hilarious jokes. Laughter erupted across the university premises with every performance, bringing great joy and humour to those in the audience. However, in an instant, the tone changed, causing tears to well up as the tragedies played out with untainted emotion and intensity, breaking everyone's heart. The contrast between light-hearted humour and deep sadness woven together to create a rich tapestry of human experience that inspired the reflection of the complexities of existence. The event transformed into a moving reminder of our common humanity through tears and laughter, making a lasting impact on everyone who witnessed its emotional journey.

Dancing performers displayed a vibrant array of colors as they spun and twirled on the floor, creating a dazzling explosion of rhythm and movement. The dance floor was a melting pot of styles, with each artist using movement to tell their own tale, ranging from elegant performing arts to throbbing music. Everyone was engulfed in an atmosphere of absolute pleasure as laughter and joy filled the air. The dance floor transformed into an ecstatic celebration of existence as the evening went on, leaving everyone who came with lasting recollections of happiness and companionship.
