🕊🩵
As parents and caregivers, we often hold on tightly—to routines, to expectations, to our children as they grow. This instinct to hold on can come from love and a desire to protect, but sometimes, it can weigh us down. Just like the poem beautifully illustrates, there’s a profound lesson in learning to let go.
When we release what no longer serves us—whether it’s outdated expectations or unfulfilling habits—we create space for growth and renewal. Our children, too, need to learn this balance between holding on and letting go. It’s through these experiences that they develop resilience and the courage to embrace change.
Letting go doesn’t mean giving up; it means trusting the process and understanding that some things are meant to be a part of our journey, but not the entire path. By modeling this for our young people, we teach them that it’s okay to let go of what isn’t right for them, and that doing so can lead to unexpected lightness and new beginnings.
