I would highly recommend to my friends to download this EUPHORIA RADIO station application and to listen some great selection of music and songs from all over the world. Some music therapy will be highly needed to everyone in this difficult days that the world is facing. Am sure you will be addicted to EUPHORIA RADIO as it is a whole different radio concept. You have to try it to hear it to know the difference.

Beirut International JAZZ DAY is next Tuesday the 30th in downtown Souk Beirut.
For all Photography and Music lovers it is a nice occasion to practice your photographic skills and take nice photos during this event.
Concert photography requires a few skills to overcome the difficult lighting conditions, and some tricks to get the perfect shot using a DSLR camera. Here below are some essential tips to follow:
1- Both a Wide Angle lens and Long Telephoto lens are necessary. The first to take the stage with the public and record the overall mood, the second to take close shots of the musicians capturing their expressions.
2- Don't be afraid to boost your ISO setting even if it results in more noise and grain.
3- Use a Monopod to help you lower your shutter speeds for a more natural moving effect. High shutter speeds will completely freeze the action... something you may want or not.
4- Exposure is the most tricky part: always aim at having the correct exposure on the performer face. Follow Spots on the star performer are a killer and can completely over-expose your subject. I suggest you use manual exposure setting and find the correct brackets for the different lighting conditions.
5- Always think that you will often convert you concert images to B&W. So a higher contrast could be a disadvantage for color pics but an asset for B&W.
6- One last recommendation: Try to listen to the music played carefully and wait for right moment when a Solo is performed to nail the performer with those rare expressions and feeling. If you know the tunes played it would be even better and easier to adapt. Use your Eyes and Ears to take the perfect shot.

N.B.: Please make sure not to disturb the audience by thinking that you have a priority over them because you are carrying a camera... Discretion is the key to being accepted and respected...
