Happy to announce a new podcast that we are working on.

The Backbenchas Podcast is show hosted by Mikana Scott, Jordan Rivers and Jevy Ebanks. Our aim is to have a space where political conversations can happen with persons of different views on a dedicated platform. We are looking for all the feed back, good and bad, as we try to grow this product.

Our pilot episode is entitled “Da Traffic and New ID’s”, both which seem to be garnering lots of public comments. Our pilot, also include an interview with Andre Ebanks MP.

The next teller is Jevy Ebanks, who is a Caymanian media personality and performer.

He began performing at the age of 11, where his love for the stage grew and he continued performing annually in Young At Arts shows – including as a show host – and Gimistory, as well as other CNCF productions.

Jevy has had the opportunity to represent the Cayman Islands as an actor in the Caribbean Festival of the Arts (CARIFESTA) in both Barbados and Trinidad, and holds a first class honours in Film and Television Production at the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom.

He now owns and operates local video and audio production company, Jevy Ebanks Productions.

Earlier this year, my classmates and I at PG6 Productions produced Islam in Lockdown, a short documentary about the impacts of COVID-19 on the British Muslim Community. I had a blast working on this project and I am happy that it will be airing tomorrow, 10th October at 4:30pm on the British Muslim TV channel.

The documentary will also air on their social media page for those who are not in the U.K.

I want to thank the entire team as we worked tirelessly despite restrictions. I hope that everyone enjoys it !
