Beat Richner is a Swiss pediatrician, cellist, and the founder of Cambodia's first children's hospitals (13 March 1947 - 9 September 2018). He started the Kantha Bopha Foundation in Zurich in 1992 and later became its director. With the support of another expatriate, he oversaw and managed the hospitals, which were largely manned by Cambodians. As a cellist and a medical practitioner, Richner was known as "Beatocello" by patients, audiences, and donors.

He became the heart and a true hero of all the Cambodian people till now.
