5 Techniques to Beat Procrastination Right Now:

The 5-Second Rule: This is a simple yet effective technique. Whenever you find yourself wanting to postpone tasks, just count from 1 to 5 and then start doing them immediately. This works because people aren't lazy; they just find it hard to get started.

The 10-Minute Rule: This technique works best for studying, cleaning, and organizing tasks. Simply tell yourself that you will work on it for just 10 minutes. Personally, I find it highly effective because once I start, I often end up working for an hour or more.

Break the Task into Smaller Parts: Sometimes, tasks can be large and time-consuming, making us feel intimidated and overwhelmed. Therefore, breaking them into smaller, more manageable parts can help overcome procrastination.

Eliminate Perfectionism: Speaking from experience, another source of procrastination is the tendency to wait for the perfect moment to do something right. In reality, such a perfect moment in the future doesn't exist. Even if it does, we often find more excuses to wait again. It's best to start now instead of postponing it to the future.

These techniques can be effective in overcoming procrastination and increasing productivity. Give them a try and see which ones work best for you!

Another World I Found Hope

Chapter 1: The First Journal

Viura was a young woman who had lost her way. After graduating from university, she had searched relentlessly to find her purpose, but every opportunity seemed like a mismatch. She felt adrift, like a ship without a compass, longing to find her true path in life.

One rainy day, as Viura walked alone, lost in thought, she stumbled upon a book at a four-way intersection. Its black cover bore the title "Goal" in bold white letters. Intrigued, Viura picked up the book, sensing an inexplicable connection. Opening it, she discovered nothing but a blank white page within.

In a sudden twist of fate, the book lifted into the air and forcefully whisked Viura into its depths, leaving the rain-soaked street behind. As she vanished, the book began writing its own story, inscribing its first chapter.

When Viura regained consciousness, she found herself in a sunlit field, surrounded by flourishing trees. It appeared to be a serene rural area. In the distance lay a bustling village, brimming with individuals immersed in diverse occupations. Somewhat bewitched, Viura felt compelled to explore.

As she made her way towards the village, a young child materialized beside her and curiously inquired, "What kind of work brings you joy?"

Viura fell silent, realizing that she had never truly pondered her ideal profession. All she desired was to discover something that ignited her passion and allowed her to make a positive impact on the world.

The child reached out, gently grasping Viura's hand, and guided her to his humble abode nestled in the village center. As they arrived, the child handed Viura a piece of paper filled with queries about her interests and inclinations.

"What's this for?" Viura asked, puzzled.

"It's meant to help you uncover your true purpose," the child replied with a wise smile.

Viura studied the paper, reflecting on each question. Deep in contemplation, she began penning her responses, engrossed in the process of introspection. Once finished, she returned the paper to the child.

In an instant, the scene transformed around Viura. She now found herself surrounded by the lively hustle and bustle of a newsroom. Journalists busily gathered information, diligently crafting it into news pieces through text, audio, and imagery, all aimed at informing and enlightening the public.

"This is where you belong," the child declared, his voice filled with certainty.

Viura's heart swelled with excitement, realizing that she had discovered her calling. Journalism was the perfect outlet for her love of writing and her innate desire to aid others.

For days, Viura threw herself into the world of journalism. Immersed in her work, she felt a deep sense of purpose and fulfillment. However, as time passed, her restlessness grew, as if a whisper in her soul urged her to seek more.

One fateful day, Viura confided in the child from the village, expressing her inner uncertainties.

"It is time for you to venture forth," the child softly advised. "There are still countless lessons and experiences awaiting you."

Though saddened to bid farewell to her role as a journalist, Viura understood the child's wisdom. Determined to uncover her truest calling, she embarked on a journey, eager to unravel the mysteries that awaited her.

1/Start Your Day with a Task Completed
Simply making your bed each morning can give you a sense of achievement and, a sense of control, and put you in the momentum that will carry you for the rest of the day.
2/ You Can't Go It Alone
In life, you can never achieve anything alone. We all depend on one another from time to time, make many friends and be good to each other.
3/ Only the Size of Your Heart Matter
When it comes to achieving your goal, it's not that you can't get there because you don't have what it takes, but because you aren't willing enough. Only the size of your heart that matters. If someone said you can't, prove them wrong!
4/ Life's Not Fair- Drive On!
Life is not fair, and the sooner you learn that the better off you will be. Sometimes no matter how hard you try, you still don't get what you want. Sometimes no matter how good you are, people don't see your value. Life's not fair - drive on!
5/ Failure Can Make You Stronger
Failure is a part of life, and failure is unavoidable. When facing it, don't accept it, and try to learn from it. Sooner or later, you will appreciate them.
6/ You Must Dare Greatly
Don't fear of failure and mistakes. Without mistakes, you don't have lessons to learn from and you won't know how you can go. Step out of your comfort zone and continue to push your limit.

On 13th August, we held a weekly meeting from
2 to 4 p.m in Room307, STEM Building. At the end of meeting, we finished reading and discussing about the book Make Your Bed by William H. McRaven, shared useful personal experiences and diverse perspectives to others members, chose new book to read, and finally discussed about the club’s activities.

ក្នុងរយៈពេលប្រាំពីរថ្ងៃក្នុងមួយសប្ដាហ៍ ម្ភៃបួនម៉ោងក្នុងមួយថ្ងៃ គេពុំដែលនិយាយពាក្យទាំងនេះមកកាន់ខ្ញុំឡើយ Good Morning ឬ Good Night ឬនិយាយថាគេបារម្ភពីខ្ញុំ ឬសរសើរថាខ្ញុំស្អាតអ្វីនោះដែរ។ អ្វីដែលគួរឲ្យខឹងបំផុតនោះគឺគេមិនដែលនិយាយពាក្យស្រឡាញ់មកកាន់ខ្ញុំឡើយ។ចុះហេតុអ្វីខ្ញុំស្រឡាញ់គេ? ចម្លើយនោះព្រោះតែ
• គេពុំដែលនិយាយពាក្យ Good morning មកកាន់ខ្ញុំនោះទេ តែគេធ្វើឲ្យខ្ញុំមានកម្លាំងចិត្តក្រោកពីព្រឹកទៅរៀន
