Folks, here is just a reminder of the power of Cambodia's lightning season leading up to the wet season is.

I took this picture at Saracen Bay Koh Ring Samleom several years back. This one lightning strike included 5 instantaneous touchdowns and masses of lightning feelers tearing across and filling the entire sky. So powerful, bright and loud that I thought it struck the jetty and my boat crew beside the jetty had died.

When I zoom in on the original pic there are people walking on the beach beside and between the beach strikes. One of the fiercest, loudest and brightest lightning strikes I have ever witnessed. The storm lasted about 30 minutes.
