We, Rec.709 are regret to see this recent event that occurred in Battambong province. This old architect, not only that it's relevant in modern society but it's became a very iconic place of the province. Seeing this building suffer from the heat makes us feel so sad.

Battambong - The Cart of Vintages

Much like how this town has gone through the conflicts and wars, I was at war with myself thinking about what would have been, worrying about what I might have done wrong. My mind has been like a war-torn town, weary, weak, neglected. But also much like this town, like these picturesque colonial style buildings, here I am still standing. Much like the colonial time influenced the unique style of these architectures, those challenges and setbacks made me who I am today.

Have you ever heard of that?

The destination where this sleepy-yet-vibrant town make you feel like you have travelled back through time. Have you ever thought about what this city have been through and manage to stand their ground and still hold theirs stories. I never understand why this city make me feel its nostalgia but seeing those building, the streets, the quaint structure and street art that many adore and celebrate and it fuels me, I now understand. And of course this unique town has its own way to shows me that life is struggle, they remind me not to give up.
