It's Monday tomorrow, and it's sunnah to fast. Sahl Ibn Saad (RadhiAllahu anhu) said that the Prophet (Swalallahu `alayhi wa sallam) said: "There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Raiyan, and those who observe fasts will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection and none except them will enter through it. It will be said, 'Where are those who used to observe fasts?' They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After their entry the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it." (Sahih Bukhari: 1896) Abu Saeed Al-Khudri (RadhiAllahu anhu) reported that the Messenger of Allah (Swalallahu `alayhi wa sallam), said: ‘I heard the Prophet (Swalallahu `alayhi wa sallam) saying, "Indeed, anyone who fasts for one day for Allah's Pleasure, Allah will keep his face away from the (Hell) fire for (a distance covered by a journey of) seventy years."’ (Sahih Bukhari: 2840)
