Mutula kilonzo Story part 1
THE PRESIDENT’S LAWYER: INSIDE THE SECRET LIFE OF MUTULA KILONZO Nation Media Group Saturday, May 04, 2013 One of Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo’s treasured assets was an old typewriter and a desk kept at his Machakos town office. Although modern technology has rendered the typewriter irrelevant, the lawyer had no intention of selling or donating either item. “They helped me make millions of shillings that I have invested in property throughout the country,” he once said in an interview. Mr Kilonzo, who died in mysterious circumstances last week, was referring to the equipment which he used to make his first million as a young lawyer more than three decades ago. But this was just one of Mr Kilonzo’s well-kept assets which, in one way or another, could provide clues to the man’s long journey to acquire property, much of which only he knew about. A long-time family friend who cannot be named discussing the departed Senator’s family issues told the Sunday Nation that because of Mr Kilonzo’s secretive nature, it might be difficult for anybody — including family members — to trace and quantify all his property, believed to be worth billions of shillings. There are some details which Mr Kilonzo kept to himself. A clear example, he said, was the contents of a cabinet at his Ngong Road office which only he opened and had a key. “Yeye peke yake ndiye alikuwa na ufunguo wa hiyo kabati. Tunafikiria ilikuwa na siri zake. (He was the only one who had the key. We suspect it contains his innermost secrets),” said the friend who has known the family for decades. Mr Kilonzo divorced his first wife — the mother of Wanza and lawyers Kethi and Mutula Kilonzo Junior — in a landmark court case which remains a reference point for students of family law and married the second wife, Nduku, with whom they had four children.
See you part 2...tujue the next life of kilonzo.

Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes. You must look into that storm and shout. Do your worst, for I will do mine!..

If Africa were an extended family, it could be described as follows: The Chaotic Relatives: Uganda🇺🇬, Congo🇨🇩, and South Sudan🇸🇸, are always wrapped up in some sort of drama. They never fail to be the topic of family gossip. On top of the chaos, Uganda is also a known drunkard. The Pompous Relatives: Kenya🇰🇪 believes they know it all, they bully the rest of the family members, and will shout until you declare them the winners of any argument. They are also drunkards like Uganda. The Peaceful Relatives: Tanzania🇹🇿, Zambia🇿🇲, Malawi🇲🇼, Botswana🇧🇼, Gambia🇬🇲, Eswatini🇸🇿, Sierra Leone🇸🇱, and Namibia🇳🇦 are soft-spoken and laid back. They are generally sweet to other family members. The Disciplined Relatives: Rwanda🇷🇼. They are strict and follow rules to the dot. They will not allow any family member to do otherwise in their presence or disrespect them. The Loud Relatives: Ghana🇬🇭 and Nigeria🇳🇬. They go all out on whatever it is they set out to do, good or bad. They were born loud and proud. You will know every little milestone and achievement in their lives whether you have ears or not. They adore each other but act otherwise in public. The Rich Relatives: South Africa🇿🇦. They live in a mansion and never miss an opportunity to flaunt their wealth. Their kids are gifted dancers and singers. Sometimes, other relatives send their children to work for them. The Distant Relatives: Madagascar🇲🇬, Seychelles🇸🇨, Mauritius🇲🇺, Mauritania🇲🇷, Comoros🇰🇲, Cape Verde🇨🇻, Sao Tome and Principe🇸🇹. They live outside the family compound and never attend family events or respond to WhatsApp messages in the family group. The Private Relatives: Chad🇹🇩, Djibouti🇩🇯, Niger🇳🇪, Mali🇲🇱, Benin🇧🇯, Guinea-Bissau🇬🇼, Equatorial Guinea🇬🇶, Guinea🇬🇳, Liberia🇱🇷, and Lesotho🇱🇸. They keep their affairs private. They live by one rule: date in private, propose in private, marry in private, and divorce in private.

Who is poor? A wealthy woman goes to a jewelry store and tells the boy at the counter "Show some cheap jewelry. It is my son's marriage and I have to give to my maid." After sometime, the maid comes to the same shop and tells the boy at the counter "Show some expensive jewelry. I want to gift my Mistress on her son's marriage" Is Poverty is in the mind or in the purse? ------------- Who is Rich? Once, a lady with her family was staying in a 3-star hotel for a picnic. She was the mother of a 6 month old baby. "Can I get 1 cup of milk?" asked the lady to the 3-star hotel manager. "Yes madam", he replied. "But it will cost 100 kes". "No problem", said the lady. While driving back from hotel, the child was hungry again. They stopped at a road side tea stall and took milk from the tea vendor "How much?” she asked the tea vendor. "Madam, we don't charge money for kid's milk", the old man said with a smile. "Let me know if you need more for the journey". The lady took one more cup and left. She wondered, "Who’s richer? The hotel manager or the old tea vendor? Sometimes, in the race for more money, we forget that we are all humans. Let's help someone in need, without expecting something in return. It will make us feel better than what money can. Coffee never knew that it would taste so nice and sweet, before it met milk and sugar. We are good as individuals but become better when we meet and blend with the right people. Stay connected. The world is full of nice people... If you can't find one... Be one.

Bulletin..

Burkina Faso announced the end of the military arrangement that allowed French special forces to use its territory as a base to fight Islamist insurgents, as the west African country seeks closer alignment with other partners, notably Russia. The general staff of the Burkinabe armed forces said that a “flag-lowering ceremony marking the official end of the [French] task force’s operations on Burkinabe soil” had taken place over the weekend at the French special forces camp about 30km from the capital, Ouagadougou. Burkina’s transitional government, led by army captain Ibrahim Traoré, asked France to withdraw a month ago, saying its own troops would defend the country against the Islamist militants that have troubled the Sahel nation and the wider region for almost a decade. Traoré has opened the door to new partners, with some in Burkina calling on the country to align itself with Russia.
