School’s out!

The holidays are officially here and that means it’s a month full of play and bumming around.

Let’s face it, I’ve never been a diffuser kind of person.

I have reached the lifespan (and size) of a buffalo.

So with age comes wisdom, I hope. This year, I’ll take things slow. Be kinder and present to my children. Especially since the twins are now young gentlemen.

Be kinder to myself, do nothing and bum around. Perhaps, just perhaps, this year I’ll lose those extra kilograms.

3rd day of school and I am slowly getting my sanity back. Oh, children are such a delight, but I do miss having my time on my own.

Did you notice the glasses there? It’s not a photo prop unfortunately, I DO need reading glasses now. Perks of being…. wiser.

Nothing much has changed except they’ve grown a little taller, shoe sizes are bigger than me and my hair.. don’t get me started on my curly hair.

Also, we don’t smile in photos. We…. smile on the inside ok.

Do you wash your fruits & vegetables?
We do, especially when we do not know where they’ve been 😱

Prices of eggs have gone up. Egg shelves in the supermarkets have run dry. He couldn’t enjoy his favourite eggs anymore.

Emerging (my son made me give this post a title 😅)

I’ve got to confess, this post was not my idea. Last weekend, we watched Fantastic Beasts for movie night. (And now you can totally guess the scene)

My eldest, suddenly had this idea that we should do a post akin to Newt Scamander and his suitcase. He directed the brothers to pose and I helped with the editing.

Well, what do you think? Should he direct more images for me?

I must say, I’m quite excited to edit more of his ideas.

Eleven

As different as night and day. After all, one WAS born in the day and the other at night 😂

One is so serious while the other can’t keep a straight face. One is so neat and tidy while the other is perpetually messy.

These 2 are constantly at each other’s throat but at the end of the day, they’ve got each other’s back.

Happy birthday, my babies. You may be teens soon, but you’ll always be MY babies.

I was determined to post today. I had this image in my mind of all us sitting so handsomely on the sofa, just like the thousands of photos you have seen today.

Then I remembered I had totally forgotten to get them a songkok. No matter, photos will still look nice right? Nope.

This is the most decent photo I could get after taking 13257 shots. My head got cropped, the twins are totally in their own world. My youngest got bored of posing for a photo.

It's just me looking at the camera. I should not even be posting this, it's such a terrible photo. But then, it's also the only unedited photo in my Instagram in a long time. So here's one for the memories. One to show their dad that they've not seen for 1.5 years. (I don't know if he still has hair 🤷🏻‍♀️

Despite the challenges, we are still blessed. Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all. May we have a better tomorrow.

Travelling solo with my 3 boys since they were young so I’ve learnt to pack light. This time round, for our 14 days trip to #christchurch I’ve packed a luggage (13kg in total) and I also brought along an empty luggage in case we decided to buy anything (turned out we came back with an empty luggage still) Here’s how I did it. 1. Always try to find an accommodation with washing machine, hence I try to avoid hotels for long stays. 2. Plan everyone’s outfits well. Colour coordinate their clothes so they can mix and match their OOTD. 3. I don’t bring gadgets or accessories like tripods and etc, everything is taken using my handphone. (so far, at least) 4. Wear 1 pair of shoes throughout the trip. I don’t change shoes during my trips, it’s usually sports shoes for comfort, and practical reasons. 5. Unless you are going to the jungle or some remote place, most essentials can be found at your destination.
