We had our mirienda (afternoon snack) in our patio and witnessed this moment 🥹🫶🏼
makes my heart melt everytime I see them play more and laugh together. Kamea always tells her “you’re my bestfriend” 🥺🥹😭
saw this in my drafts this morning 🥹 its giving me ideas..
i was thinking of moving their artwall to their shared bedroom. but what if i move their shared bedroom to this room?? 😅☺️😂
When we had our functional kitchen it was only Kamea who was 16 months old at the time. It was the same time that we moved into this home from living in my parents formal living and dining room!
One of Kamea’s godmother gave her an @ikea duktig play kitchen during her 1st birthday and I decided to put it under our kitchen counter and make it functional by placing a gallon water pump as a faucet, putting holes in the sink and placing a drainage container under it!
I then saw another playkitchen at a discounted price in @ikea AS IS section and decided to extend her functional kitchen since we were really planning to have two kids!
She’s been using this for 3 years now and Kalea who is 17 months old is now starting to use it too by playing with the magic of water. 🥹
Here is an annual deep clean since sometimes the juices of oranges and other fruits gets in the crevices!
It’s been helping our family during mealtimes and mirienda time.
Kamea sets up her table and Kalea is now following what her Ate (big sister🇵🇭) does. Kamea showed her how to slice strawberries too. Love watching them bond here. 🥺
I refill the water and drain the dirty water everyday. 🙏🏼
you do not have to buy and do what we did. This is just what worked for us! But you can definitely just use your kitchen cabinets to store their plates and utensils so it’s easily accessible and available for them! This will help them learn practical life skills around our homes.
let me know if you have any questions!
brb crying over these portraits of “mama” 🥹
kamea told me it was a drawing of my face 🥰🥹
trying to pick maybe 5-10 drawings per month and keeping it! 🥰
these were her 3yo drawings 🤎🫶🏼
Backing up my phone this morning and found this gem. 🥹
I forgot I recorded how she made her first painting .. our first painting together 😭
updated art wall ✨
my kiddos are 4 and 1.5 years old (22months)
we started with just one wall bookshelf and a small toy shelf when she my eldest was 2! then as the years passed by we added a small treehouse, then a small desk, and then we added an art wall and then we decided to make them share a bedroom and then we added a book wall.
so this art wall didn’t instantly look like this, it was a gradual process! just like every prepared environment in our home.
☺️
the new updates we added:
book wall filled with the girls’ favorite collection from “little people, big dreams!” we used flisat book display from the thriftstore and took the middle support out.
added a lamp in their art wall since it’s been dark all winter and the main light isn’t bright enough.
added these wood blocks at the bottom of the playhouse to make it higher and easier to play with!
we’re adding more in their bedroom and I can’t wait to share it!
