Do you strive for perfection?

I know that most of us do, and then we teach our children to do it too... But really what we should be striving for is to be better.

Just be a little better tomorrow than you are today, be a little better today than you were yesterday. That is how we move forward.
Perfection is not needed and it in fact lets us down all too often. It makes us think we are not good enough because we haven't reached perfection.
Well friends, I am here to tell you DONE IS BETTER THAAN PERFECT, and WHOLE IS BETTER THAN PERFECT. I would rather feel whole - Knowing I did my best today and I will do better tomorrow, than feeling incomplete all the time because i have never reached a goal that can never be met.

So how are you going to move forward from this point on, Strive for perfection or be whole inside ?

Hey there , I am Jacinda. I am a mother of 3 blended families, which consists of 10 kids. With all of them kids, we have 5 granddaughters with 3 of them being bonus and 1 more granddaughter on her way. Family has always been my first priority in life, this does include my self care. However, Self care has not always been a part of that priority. I realized just a few short years ago while taking a foster parenting class, that "you cannot pour from an empty cup" and That has stuck with me since then. Now I make sure to tell everyone that, because it is so important. Especially as a mother or a caregiver, we need to put ourselves first in order to take care of our family. Now you know a little more about me, let's hear about you... Are you a parent (of anykind)?

I tell my husband that I am proud of him for things he does as well. It's important to remind yourself of where you are and where you have been. I have went through many struggles to get where I am today, no one will ever know all of the pain I had felt, mentally and physically- but something kept me moving forward even when I felt like I couldn't go anymore. I am here today, with the love and support from my hubby, kids, friends and our closest family, and myself! So I am proud of Myself! I am proud of you too! This is our boy Jeremiah. He is the last of 10 kids, and a 10 year gap between him and the next oldest sibling. He was IVF, and he was a twin (fraternal). Out of 16 fertilized eggs (Herbcindas) He was the only survivor. He is our Miracle Rainbow 🌈 baby . He has such a big heart , and we are so grateful for our little "reset button". When we were leaving the food pantry he said he wanted to come back again to help! We are so very proud 👏
