Breaking News: End of an Era!
Renowned business magnate, hotelier, and realtor Wilson Kipkemboi Kipkoti has passed away. Kipkoti, a father of five, leaves behind his widow Jane, three children, and grandchildren.
Kipkoti was the founder of Rockville and Standard Assurance, Prudential Building Society—both now defunct—and Sirikwa Hotel, a four-star hospitality facility in the heart of Eldoret city.
At 72, Kipkoti was a trailblazer, venturing into new paths to achieve the seemingly impossible. He was among the first crop of Kalenjin professionals in independent Kenya to break into the insurance industry, then dominated by foreign conglomerates.
As he moves on to the afterlife, he leaves a legacy of hard work, rare selflessness, and a sharp mind for progress. His possible epitaph might read: "Here lies a rare gem; a shining star."
